@@Poyodinary_Magician well the hardest part for me in eosd is still patchy and remilia, sakuya's time stop made the rng a bit less since u can think a little bit but the midboss sakuya at stage 6 was just hell

@@ZackLikesBreadAlot it’s alright, I found 3-6 harder. But using the practice mode I was able to do them way more consecutively. Focus on learning the patterns and where to go. Memorization helps out a ton.

I always lose my extra lives I earned and saved on stage 4 then I get so discouraged and quit

i can't even get past the start of the library on normal ... edit : now i can get to remilia ! haven't beaten her yet, though edit 2: i have beaten this game 2 times now, one with reimuA and the other with reimuB. 10/10

This is because I prolonged her non-spell attack for extra graze. If you take out Sakuya as fast as you can, then you face a longer period of that red bullet spam you're talking about. I don't know why the game does this, but I imagine it's so it takes the same amount of time to get through the stage regardless of how the mid-boss fight goes.

The worst? I suck at this game and I make considerably more progress on 1cc when I use ReimuA.

@@dakingofyeet4541 reimuA is generally considered bad because of low attack caused by the homing shots

@@dakingofyeet4541 The thing with EoSD is that it's one of the few touhou games where all shots are balanced (which isn't all that surprising seeing as how there's only 4 of them lol) While I still stand by the fact that ReimuA is "the worst", that's not to say that she is bad, she just has the lowest dps out of the 4 shots.

@@BabySonicGT ReimuA is perfectly fine for a beginner playing on Easy or Normal. When I said, "the worst" I just mean it has the lowest dps, which you shouldn't worry about since you just started playing

Hmm... this comment is (way more than?) 1 year old... I doubt my answer is worth it considering the probabilities of you already learnt how to or quit... but whatevs... I think I'll post it: For Luna Clock: Go to the edge. It's much easier to learn that way. Captured it twice since I learnt how to dodge it after moving to the edge. Weirdly enough, I find this easier than Icicle Fall (Normal) that I always bomb through. For Marionette... I dunno... weird... I always wonder how ppl dodge that and its hard/lunatic counterpart Killing Doll... It's much easier if you somehow misdirect it I think... but I haven't been able to capture it since I first re-play this game again after seven long years... P.S.: The video did what I said above :P; meaning you still had problems after doing so... I guess this comment really is useless...

You gain lives two ways in this game: 1. As an item after the stage 3 and 5 midboss fight. 2. After reaching 10, 20, 40, and 60 million points. Bombs are gained: 1. As an item from various stages. 2. After each death, the bombs are restocked to the default amount.

@ João Baptista By moving into the Point of Collection (PoC), as far as I know, 1/3 of the upper screen is known as the PoC. Firstly you need to have at least 128 Power and then you can move into this boundary on the upper screen anytime to collect all the blue items on the screen automatically as well as the red ones. You can see this being performed at 5:28.

Because the bullets are aimed at you, you stay still and wait until all the bullets have been fired and then move to the left or right. Do this for all three waves. This maneuver is what we call steaming. It is something you absolutely must know in order to achieve a 1CC.

I think you are talking about the point of collection (POC). Once you have received at least 128 power items (filling your power bar), you can then auto-collect all the items on the screen at any time by moving your player near the top quarter of the screen.

+maulerfranco666 Fortunately you don't need to be at Full Power to POC, since TH7's Extra and Phantasm Stages and TH8 (but you need to be in focus mode, except as Marisa and Alice).

+maulerfranco666 This helped me out, too. I've only 1cc'd twice now, but in my last playthrough I actually captured Red Magic for the first time!!

probably due to the random nature of the green knives. Often times I deal with sakuya's last spell by bomb spamming, as usually I only need 1 or 2 bombs rather than risking a life trying to capture it.

@@Poyodinary_Magician Having more lives doesn't mean won't lose some of them '-' It was 4 months ago, I had just started playing. Now I've 1ccd EoSD and PCB in Normal. But the Extra Stages are VERY hard.

the books before midboss only last a few seconds. Just sneak (hold shift) and focus on micromovements to dodge the few bullets that might be coming your way. Once 4th midboss comes the bullets disappear in an instant. Rainbow wind chime is static. You might have trouble doing it the first few times, I had trouble too, but with Meiling's attack pattern always being the same, and only being stage 3 boss, you'll get used to the pattern and dodge accordingly, fairly easy.

What spells do you struggle with the most?

When you beat sakuya as fast as you can you get the spamming bullet part To skip this part you have to extend the fights (the best way is to copy his movements)
