This is a piano transcription of "Memento of the Avaricious Beast" from Touhou 17.5: Touhou Gouyoku Ibun, originally composed by ZUN.
I've always wanted to get around to Yuuma's themes eventually, and here we are with the first!
This is personally my favorite of the two. While the second is chaotic and climactic, this is the theme that establishes all of the prevalent motifs and introduces us to a clever and powerful foe. It's very dense, so it was difficult to make out everything!
I want to give a shoutout to Spectral Nexus / Timi for helping me with this one! His critique and advice were especially helpful in tweaking this transcription into how you hear it now. He also introduced me to some neat mixing tricks, which I'll absolutely consider using in the future to improve the overall sound quality of my projects.
