Mike, thanks for making a great video of my bus! Was nice to meet you. The Video has made it to WOG, an owners group I belong to, and will be meeting up with them next month in Georgia. Glad everyone has enjoyed watching! Touré
Nice, great video tour! We have had our Wanderlodge since 2017 and love it, there is not much else that compares. Our 1984 model was close to $400k new, these things were the best of the best when they were new. I am just glad to have one and be able to enjoy them. Like wrenching on them too.. Check out Gino's Garage to find out how these things are really built!
I'm a Philly boy long distance owner operator truck driver and I love whenever I come and visit the mass holes of Massachusetts they're always a friendly bunch and just as approachable as can be but if you step out of line they'll put you right back over that line real quick which has the Philly boy I can appreciate for some reason every massive two shits is always recognizable by having a beer in their hand and that famous accent! I also love how like a lot of Philadelphians they're passionate about their sports team and they fix their own stuff no way will they let another man touch their personal belongings LOL.
Man if Toure ever sold this thing, I would be looking at taking out a loan for this one! The exterior color way is amazing! The interior is the one of the best I’ve seen in a Wanderlodge. Idk if it’s original or not, but very tearful. Beautiful Wanderlodge my friend! Safe travels.
We had a neighbor with one of these in the driveway for years. Always curious what was on the inside. Didnt expect an altimeter!?! 😆 Thanks for sharing!
when i lived in Mass we had several Motorhomes and RV's all new except one which was an old Class C but i would rather have that old coach really cool old ride and great video.
We owned an 87 Wanderlodge PT38 exactly like yours! You can see it on our youtube channel RV FOOLS ! Loved it, it was awesome and we pulled a pickup with our Gold Wing trike in the back on a hydraulic loader! so much fun cruising down the Oregon coast (5 months from Astoria to Yuma!) and around the country! ended up moving to a 5th wheel, for slide outs and more modern drive train. The Wanderlodge circle at quartzite AZ was a lot of fun. enjoy Jim & barb the Rv fools
Bluebird is about 30 miles from us. They once had a beautiful outdoor show area where the wanderlodges were kept. They were definitely ahead of their time and the class of the industry at the time.
@@TheBostonTrucker if you're ever passing through on the way to Wildwood stop off and say hello. We also have the shine in the pines truck show in Dublin,Ga. Maybe you can get here for that one year.
My friend Dan Johnson, 'Hippie Dan' had Bluebird Wanderlodge #2. 1960's, white/ gold speckle Formica throughout. The Bluebird company tried to buy it from him. They had #1 and #3 and wanted the collection. I drove past it many times sitting next to a farm house on Rt.23 in Circleville, OH many times in the early 1990's before Dan bought it, in around '93.
Silver 92 aka 8v92. 500hp with an Alison. Perfect combination. Check the oil everyday they leak oil like crazy. That's a good thing became they never get rusty. Only issue is they can't go to California. That's another good thing.
@@TheBostonTrucker the Wanderloge Owners Group get together at Pine Mountain. I assumed you meant that by the mention of a trip to Georgia in October. I apologize if I got that wrong
Hey thanks for all the info I just bought a 1973 bluebird Wanderlodge and I’m having a hard time finding a master cylinder for the brakes do you have any advice thank you I just subscribed
Check out the WOG. Online owners group. If anyone can help you with parts they would be in that group. I’ve seen post on there about the juice brake buses. I think parts are difficult to find some guys have converted to air brakes.
Love the bus but that large mud flap on back needs to be moved underneath and close to back tires .where it is now disrupts airflow across the engine and causes excessive engine heat
The mud flap is a factory installed item. I did have it off for a while but put it back on, didn’t really notice any difference in engine heat. She runs up to 195* then the main engine fan kicks onto high and she cools down to 185* then cycles like that. I can turn the fan on high on dash and she will run at 170* or so.
That is funny I work for a old guy he has same one his is tan big Detroit he trying to sell it 25000 he paid 157000 new its a can of worms you better have your big credit card if you break down on some highway imagine towing that beast
@@bradhanson4803 that’s funny! I own the coach in this video. I went down to look at the tan bus for someone in a group of owners I belong to. He wanted to buy it, it was posted online, I think the old man was asking 35k. That thing was rough, rode hard put away wet. Was going to need to much work to get it back in shape. Told my fellow member I wouldn’t buy it for anywhere close to the asking price. And wouldn’t buy it at all unless you wanted a big project! Small world! Lol Touré
