12:08 “All my life, until now, when I was sleeping I was looking at the curtains. Now I sleep, and I see the stars. That’s the house for me.” That’s such a beautiful way to put it. The house becomes such a natural part of the landscape that you feel protected while living with all the earth as your home. 18:26 Was also very interesting that the banker would call it a “vanity home.” Only because every home deserves to be a vanity project; it is after all one’s home. A home that would not be a vanity project feels like it would just be a dwelling for little savage animals.
The alaska home. Woow loved it. The owner has taste for sure! Love the greek home too. Oh my gosh! The architect did a phenomenal job. I really enjoyed when he share about his view of architecture. The idea to compose with the nature .... ❤
Thank you, For Sharing your Experience with Building and, Choosing Your Homes., You all have Gorgeous and, well Build Homes., Soon I will Build a Home very Much similar., Great Work WSJ., 👏🏾🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾⭐️🌟💎👑👍
I love the Alaskan Waterfront house. I live in a bungalow with huge patio doors that close to the sea in Wales, and I swim all year round. You have included wonderful elements in this beautiful home which make it feel like part of the landscape.
the 'vanity' house certainly is captivating. However, one possible problem is location that close to the sea when the projected earth shift really begins.
What a beautiful clutch of homes..so much to be inspired by..life time dreams fulfilled thru imagination and empathic architects..thankyou for sharing these amazing locations..❤
My favorite is the Castle in Scotland . Incredibly beautiful . I also really like the Central Washington Cascades house and the Charlotte, NC in the woodland house . Both had incredible views and felt like being in a vast tree house . The Ketchikan , Alaska house has such a beautiful setting and Ocean views . Seeing stormy weather roll in must be thrilling and peaceful 😌 . I love Classical and Traditional Architecture , especially historic , but I also like modern when done right with amazing views and settings . I'm in awe .
That Star Trek home is beyond my dream - and I live in a fairly incredible place. Imagine that over the California coast. Dining on glass over a swimming pool? I’ve even thought of doing my ceiling with the arms from Creation of Adam. It was just made for me.
The first/Greece house, the long continuous dining and kitchen island combo was stunning to look at but very impractical; there is no dashing to the other side to grab a spoon for your ice-cream, by the time you got over to the other side and back, the ice-cream would have melted 😆
@12:19 I would just like to confirm that she has the most beautiful kitchen in Alaska. What lovely style, this is the kind of excellence I demand for all. She has a second future in design if she wants. 🤔😁❤
@@aracelimalone1167 a little bit yeah. I think its priority was the art and design itself, but missed a little bit in making the house feel homy/comfy. Its the owner's decision, but I myself don't think Id enjoy living in that house for long. Maybe for a bit Ill appreciate the art/design, but then Itll just fall down from there.
This video I will keep saved for inspiration... so many incredible projects. I haven't seen all of them yet, but what a dream this Fort Worth in Texas...every space there is perfect. Full of beautiful and interesting art and books. Modern castle with a wise owner. Even his braided ponytail is perfect. :) l Greetings from Prague. I am letting my 1930's flat to rent an apartment in a16th century palace near Charles bridge. Its unpractical and a bit dark, but I love it.
So much work going into that Scottish castle and it not being handed down to generations of the same family sort of makes me sad.😢 it’s also sad to think my dinky 4 bedroom house in London cost more than that castle
The fact that many of these only cost around 2 to 3 million to construct is amazing. In most metropolis cities in the world that'd only get you what is practically a 70 year old shed on a sliver of land.
I ordered this exact mount a couple days ago after discovering it from that fitness RU-vidr video review on it. Now the algo brings me here to the mount’s designer creator. Amazing! Can’t wait to receive the Mount and use it. Keep up the work, subscribed!

How did I get here ? Unaffordable mansions. The words Star and Trek made me do it, that's what caught my attention. But all the same, these homes are unattainable.😯😯😯
I have watched this many times at this point, or had it playing behind me, & every time one thing .... catches me.....is it "catched" or "caught"? I definitely thought it was caught. She says both. Obviously my grammar could be better, still, id like to know.
Good morning Lydia Loved this episode so much. I live in Northamptonshire too. Please can you recommend who made your dressing groom blinds? I'd be so grateful xxx
Each home was super special but the most creative and unique one had to be the :Star Trek" house. The mosaic in the pool was a distraction from the cool architecture though.
These glass box tree houses in the woods are death traps for birds. They need to use the bird deterrent window films that are invisible to the eye. Some architects just don’t get it….
I so wanted to like that Alaskan house, but the homeowner... I couldn't get thru a minute of that hyper-energy and voice after such a soothing opening commentary. So I muted it. The home is lovely.
Based on your comment, I was expecting some ultra hyper person but she wasn’t even bad at all. Pretty normal to me 🤷🏻♂️ and yes, lovely home. That view of the water is unbeatable
That’s rude and immature. I’m from the Midwest. She sounds like my kind of person. I think you should learn to be nicer though. I think you should grow up a little also. It’s not cool to deliberately hurt someone even if it’s not true.
I was expecting some annoying person based on the comment. She’s actually quite nice and thoughtful. They added value to their neighborhood.$2 million dollars worth of
The NY apartment was a commercial for the owner's art, all his money art! Not much about the apartment except for where his art is located. Turned me off completely!
Why spend millions and short shrift the personal living spaces? Forcing your children to pile up in one room is either inconsiderate or aimed for a sell to a smaller family. Addendum: A vanity house is difficult to sell-- a pink kitchen...
The guy from de NY townhouse... He should return his pottery collection to the countries where it was possibly stolen. Art made with bills is in very very bad taste.
Only Restauration interests me. Using Wealth to Create immense habitats is not how I see the future for the inequality of humans living. The system is Wrong. My Hope is that 'Bright Mind Sets ' are going to change what the Extremist Are Doing.Hope in YOUTH.
Youth are a reflection of their elders. I know as I have worked with youth for three decades. Have hope that we all contribute to co-creating a world that is aligned with the planet and communities of care.
