I noticed this house does not have any rain gutters. How is the rain water directed away from this house to prevent it from becoming water damaged over time and having toxic mold?

That is normal in the area to not have gutters. Yard has to slope away from home to move water away form the house.

It might be typical for this builder and for the area, but it is not going to keep the house safe from water damage. If you look at building codes throughout the country you will find that the slope of the property (away from the house as you mentioned) and water drainage from the roof away from the house is considered “good construction” practices. Any architect who specializes in working with builders to construct an environmentally safe home will always have rain gutters that empty away from the foundation of the house. Foundations crack over time and ground water seeps into the cracks and into the house creating a “perfect storm” for toxic mold to grow. I almost died from hidden mold inside the walls of a beautiful home (I lost everything I owned and my pets died) because of living in a home without rain gutters. Never again! Thank you for responding as I do appreciate you taking the time to reach out. I think many real estate companies in the south would benefit from hiring mold consultants to educate their agents on this topic.
