After a crazy weekend of festivals and a headliner we finally got a day off. Luckily enough it was in Köln, Germany. Unfortunately, it was 35C out. So after walking around and having some great Kölsch beers I decided it was time for a review. I sat in the door of the bus and originally decided to just raw dog the review, but in post I decided to add some info and graphics anyways. I may or may not have been a little fluthered and burnt by the sun. Bean & Citrus Spritz was brewed for Beer Geek Madness 2024. I don't know what that is but it sounds awesome! On to the beer! The beer poured out a nice yellow color with a somewhat off white head. The nose contained coffee grounds, some citrus hops and a faint hint of vanilla. The mouthfeel was lighter than I expected but not watery. The beer tasted like the bottom of a cup of coffee, that earth coffee grounds taste, with some fruity citrus hops and slight vanilla to cut the bitter earthiness of the coffee. This was a solid beer that I really enjoyed. Cheers!
