It was good to get back to North Wales with a long session on Anglesey. The fishing was fairly slow on th small tides and hampered by small dogfish finding the baits before the larger fish. Good company and an enjoyable day. Also interesting to have a look at some new potential marks to fish.

That's the most northerly point in Wales, llanbadrig point at Cemaes Bay. Great fishing round there and where I'm from.

@@PerchRockFishing wylfa head the other side of the bay also has great marks on it. And not a lot of people know this, but fish, including bass, can be caught off the pier in Cemaes when the tide is flooding and even better if the wind is blowing n.westerly straight in there. You get perfect shelter from the wall on the pier, but avoid casting onto the rocks on the left, you wanna cast on the rock to sand margin, where the river flows down when the tide is out. Iv had cod, doggy, whitting, pouting and bass off there, especially at night on the big rods.

I believe there is some good conger fishing to be had off Wylva Head but still on the list to do 😊

@@PerchRockFishing there's huge congers living in the reef off the ledge on the end off llanbadrig point to, just down the side in the gully that goes round to the beach on the left. The reef can only be seen on a low tide, and the water is deep off there, excellent marks for spinning off the point to. And ye, wylfa has some big eels living around it to, as well as all.the other species.

July always a quiet month for fishing here on Anglesey, May / June the Bass fishing was fantastic but that's gone a bit quiet too. The big smooth hounds should turn up soon Hopefully, we been getting a handful of small ones.
