Etape 11 : Serre Chevalier - Isola 2000, réplique de l'étape de la veille, Miguel Indurain consolide sa place de leader tandis que Rominger très fort mais incapable de lâcher l'Espagnol se contente de remporter l'étape.
Tony was the one guy that pushed Indurain, and came very close to beating him this one year. I wish the Tour would go back to Isola 2000, a magnificent climb.
Tony's team was great for the mountains. He decided to bring it. He knew there was a Team Time trial, so It was his decision. Miguel made the last time trial with temperature, he was ill. Tony was unable to take time on Indurian in the mountain stages. Indurain won that Tour and there is no question (in my opinion), he did enough to win it
Tony should have won this Tour. He had a weak team, was penalized during the TTT, had to ride his ITT in the rain (and punctured) when Mig rode in the dry. Also, this footage doesn't show Tony repeatedly tried to drop Mig on the last climb up the Isola but couldn't do it. Why has not the Tour been back to Isola? Great stage.
@DocBlueSea yes we will never really know how many were doing what they were doing as a general rule I think the guys that were up on the mountains that you could actually SEE the effort and strain on theri faces were clean, but as for the poker faced leaders well its just obvious
Zulle rominger indurain all on epo oh forgot Chiapucci also as for millar being transexual well I do not know but all I do know is millar was harder than anyone on a bike, that includes anyone in this clip
