Located among the Langhe hills, wine lovers have described Barolo as one of Italy’s greatest wines. But Barolo is more than great wine. Being located in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is also a world-class cycling destination. The beauty of these cultural landscapes is amazing. You have rolling hills with vineyards as far as the eye can see. On this ride, you ride a loop around the entire area. You mostly ride on quiet back roads with very little traffic. You ride with beautiful views most of the time. Sometimes you ride on a ridge and have views of wine fields to both sides. Some of the towns you see on the ride are very charming and even have their own small castle. The Langhe area should be on the bucket list for riders that love rolling hills and wine.
Take your indoor cycling to the next level with our indoor cycling app Open Road:
Dive into an immersive indoor cycling experience with our training app ’Open Road’ for Windows. The app lets you ride the ride for real and provides a better and more realistic indoor cycling experience compared to our ride-along videos on RU-vid. The app is compatible with all ANT+ cycling devices, including smart trainers, power meters, and speed sensors. Athletes with spinning and exercise bikes without ANT+ compatibility can control the speed manually and enjoy riding with all the important cycling data displayed during the training session.

Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So we have added no music. Instead, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute RU-vid and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, RU-vid, etc…) and pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride...

I don't just 'like' it I LOVE IT!! Thank you so much, and thanks to the cyclist that did the ride!! Great that the cyclist turned their head, I'm assuming the camera was on their helmet, so we could see the view.

Good morning, Is it possible to know: 1 - what video equipment is used during the courses? 2 - How is it attached to the bike? Thanks in advance

I think the camera may have been on the riders helmet, as in a few spots it looks like the riders head turned so we could see the view, that makes the most sense to me.

I’m in the minority, I know, but I’m not keen on the side views.

I hear you Phil, this is experimental. Seems most are keen on it. Does it make you dizzy, or why do you not like it?

When I look at the screen while riding a bike, it makes me dizzy. I am a user of open road for three years.

What a sick idea to spin the camera left and right. Don't do that and don't ruin the movies. They are for driving. Moments of playing with the camera give the impression of drifting, problems with the steering wheel. It's not very professional and I will skip these routes.

Is it correctly understood that if you pass a beautiful scenery on your bike, you do not turn your head to watch it?

@@BiketheWorld In fact, yes (although more often for training data) but these videos are not supposed to be for RU-vid but for Open Road and I prefer if they don't give the impression that something is wrong with the steering wheel and I leave the route...

@@krzysztofsmyk3974 Hi Krysztok, thank you for taking the time to give us feedback :-) The side views are experimental. And I'm not sure they are here to stay. Opinions are mixed. Seems like a majority likes them. Another way to film the side-views could be to have several cameras, so there is no turning the head, but one is cutting to the camera of the side view if there is a beautiful scenery.

@@BiketheWorld For me, the routes and views are still beautiful without what is on the side or back ... I value the functionality of the application more. I wish you good luck

@@krzysztofsmyk3974 Thanks Krysztof, I think if we stay with the side views, the head should be turned quicker, so you do not get the impressions of drifting or problems with the steering wheel.
