Bikepacking adventure at the Mont Blanc Massif (France) in July 2021.
Clock wise Tour Du Mont Blanc route from Chamonix to Courmayeur (due to a lack of time we weren't able to finish the full route).
Loved every single minute off it and definitely coming back for more.

Looked like a great trip guys. Beautiful scenery and a bit of walking as well by the looks of it :) JP the old guy

It was! The toughest walking part (up from Col de la Forclaz to Alpage de Bovine with rain) was a lot harder than what you saw on the video, but the focus on suffering made me forget to film ;) We were lucky with the beautiful weather when climbing the col Ferret. Cheers!

Well done guys !!! I have a question, how expensive is Mont Blanc bikepacking ?
@RobbenotRobbie

Depends on what you mean, like how much we spent for camping, food and all? I don't really remember that well, so that means it won't be that much, actually. Food can be expensive (like 10 euros for a sandwich) in Switserland, but you normally only pass it for one day. On the other hand, it gets very cheap (like 8 euro's for a pizza) in Italy. Campings are not that expensive at all. Between 5 and 20 euro a night. Hotels can be expensive, if you want to stay there (150 euro a night?)

@@RobbenotRobbie many thanks for the information 💪 so 20€ for sleeping at camping spot and more 20€/30€ for food. 50€ a day it's enough I presume.

Hello Maxim, great video ! Did you ride clockwise or counterclockwise? When you did it ? I heard in July it can be annoying with the hikers. Last question, how it was with wild camping? Thanks again

Hi! We did it counterclockwise as you can observe in the video introduction. But we only did halve (until Courmayeur) because we had limited time. It was a tricky parcours, with some walk-a-bikes as well ;) We did it in July. There were definitely some hikers, but we haven't witnessed a lot of problems. When the roads were a bit more packed, it was resolved after 10-15min. Overall, we had a lot of "lonely" time with nature as well. We did wild camping only one time because we had no other option. Not easy to do given that a large part of the parcours is very steep and with loads of rocks. Are you planning to do the tour as well? When? Maybe we'll meet each other as we go this August :)

It looks like a great trip, guys! Congrats! Is wild camping allowed along the route?

Thanks! Good question... The route passes France, Switserland and Italy and they all have different rules. But in general, you can do wildcamping as long as you only stay during the dark (set up late and leave early) and obviously don't leave any traces behind.
