The law regulates scooters according to bicycle regulations* (kind of similar) and is graduated based on the weight of the scooter. Technically, I shouldn't ride on the sidewalk. But there's a catch. In the video is in an area where a bike lane was set up on the sidewalk. If you watch the video, you can see that the bike lane is marked. The initial part is called "Vía España," which has a bike lane throughout that section. Then I reach "Parque Úrracá," where the "Cinta Costera" begins-a long section with a bike lane as well. Finally, I arrive at the "Casco Antiguo," where there are no sidewalks with bike lanes since it's an older area.
