Come walk through Historic Colonial Williamsburg with us as we look for inspiration for decorating our home and landscape.
Hello prim friends! My name is Gabriella Moir and welcome to our channel The Cape on the Corner at Tweedthistle Farms, where we love to explore antique shops and homes that are filled with history in early American antiques and primitives that also go well in farmhouse decor and decorating. We are sharing the building process too as we build our forever home, a Cape Cod style home on our 5+ acres in Ohio where we also have a specialty cut flower farm. Follow along as we share daily life of starting seeds and planting seedlings for the cutting garden, establish new landscaping near our home to try to give it that early look and feel. In the growing season we'll be starting a kitchen herb garden and so much more. Keep watching!

What a treat for me to revisit one of my favorite places. I love it when time appears to stand still. When history comes to life and for a brief moment you are a part of it all. I truly believe in honoring and respecting our forefathers. They were the pioneers of this new country. They invented, made do and sacrificed in order to survive. And because they did we are privileged and should be humbled to live in this country. Amen.

Oh my goodness! What a treat for this video of my favorite place to have popped up! I've been many times and will never get enough! I live in SC in a converted barn and use many of the colonial organic gardening practices at my country place. I use my beautiful flowers and herbs to decorate the altar table at my little country church which was founded in 1872. You mentioned garden videos you filmed there, so I'll l look for those next. Thank you so much for ALL of your videos. I was born in the wrong century. All of your content fits me just right. May God bless you with safe travels during your "wanderings"!

There is something so different about the heat and humidity in the south. Such a beautiful place. I could spend a week there! I'm very happy there are no cars on the streets there. I think that really helps keep the early feel going.

Loved this video. Makes me want to plan a trip there. I want to tell you how I appreciate your restraint in purchasing one of those birdhouses since it was made in China. All Americans need to be checking tags and practicing the same restraint. You will find a quality American crafted one I’m sure! I hope one of your viewers has a good source. Thank you for all your wonderful videos! I learn so much from your knowledge of early antiques. I look forward to them every week!

They would tie a string to their legs so they could not fly away, but stay and lay eggs. Enjoyed seeing more on your video...thank you. Jo b.
