Ludwig and the Mohler family came over to the United States to escape Religious persecution . 🎉 I love this. ❤ German Baptist. Even though Mohler family religion did not believe in war. They took up arms anyway. I love this country. I am also Scotch Irish on the other side of my family. They moved to Appalachian area. Suited that side just fine. 😊 I also have a best friend that can go back to her Shaw side of the family to the Mayflower. She is a daughter of the Revolution.
My dad's father's side of the family The Mohlers once owned the land with this cave. Also a house there. I believe the house was torn down in 1970 or 1980. Believe the young son was John Kohler. He gave tours by candle light.
I'm not sure how much it sold for. I wish I knew. I have also done a bit of research about the house. I believe the house was used as a hospital during the Revolutionary war ...or possibly civil war. A doctor set up there to help the wounded. Another thing that was found. The basement was used to confine the prisoners of war. There were bars on the basement windows. Also rounds found in the soil around the house.😮
