Our home will be on the market this Wednesday. We have finally chosen a real estate agent after much searching and interviewing. Thanks for watching. My website is southernfrugal.com
I'm watching this again on 2/1/20. How prophetic when Mr. Bucky said, 'we're already gone, in our hearts and in our minds'. I miss you two wonderful souls. At least you're together again in Heaven. Thanks for including all of us in your lives.
@@lindahandley5267 thank you but we will always have her videos she was just so great at cooking or seemingly everything she done. I'm so very sad like the rest of her followers I felt a friendship/ connection with her. God bless her sweet soul and to her family I hope you know how much she was loved and I pray for your comfort at this most difficult time. And to the rest of you that haven't maybe seen mr bucky bible study he has a great one on here he was such an articulate Godly man and thank you again Linda I will have to watch her son's videos but just not right now God bless all of you fellow miss Phyllis followers you all are in my loving thoughts and prayers 💕🙏🙏🙏🙏
@Jeffrey, thank YOU so much for the kind words of comfort. She and Mr. Bucky touched so many people's hearts and honestly felt like family to me. I remember Mr. Bucky's video, 'Are there angels in your house?.'' They were such a precious, Christian couple and certainly didn't hide their light under a bushel! I remember the first video of hers that caught my attention about '1950's cooking.' Those meals brought back such wonderful memories of how I learned to cook from my mother and my aunts. Those were the days! I hope you find comfort also Jeffrey!
Time is such a cruel thing. I’m watching this video of a beautiful sunny day and imagining Phyllis enjoying fresh air and warm sun. Knowing she and Mr. Bucky are no longer here to enjoy those simple things makes me so sad. The world is not as bright without their beautiful souls. I hope they are resting easy in the kingdom of Heaven. They left an indelible mark on so many lives during their time on earth. RIP Phyllis & Mr. Bucky
I come back here often and like to imagine Miss Phyllis and Mr. Bucky are still living there. I can't help but feel sad that they didn't get to live out their plans for the tiny home on Stumphouse Mountain or travel in their RV. They both worked so hard on every little detail. I wonder, maybe they were more attached to that house then they realized.
Stephen's same tour of the house was so sad to me. It was so empty and quiet. I hope Stephen that you keep these videos up for us to enjoy. It would seem like a thank you gift from your mom to all of those who enjoyed her cooking, stories, and lessons on life. 💜
It’s still so hard to believe that they are both gone. Both of them had such soothing voices. I miss them, yet so grateful for the videos that remain. Thank you!
Funny you are writing this... I have been rewatching many old videos of Mrs Phyllis. What special people ❤️ poor sweet woman. Glad she’s with her husband and the Lord now, but she is selfishly missed
I keep watching your videos, so it’s like you and Mr. Bucky are still with us. Your son Steve is doing a wonderful thing by continuing on with your channel and sharing recipes and memories. Today is 10/10/2020 and I just watched Steve walk through your home here on earth one finally time, he had a link to your walk through so naturally I had to watch it again. RIP Phyllis and Mr. Bucky🙏🏻 you are not forgotten.❤️
They never sold their house and move to their mountain property. They were so excited about that. She put so much work into that camper too. 😥 God had different plans. Unbelievable both of them are gone, crazy. They live in a mansion in heaven now with no sickness, pain or sadness.
Are you kidding I’ve been binge watching her videos. It’s comforting to me. They both inspired me to live a simple clean life before the Lord. I’m so thankful her son is continuing her channel and leaving all the old videos up as well! I miss them and my parents miss them too.
Watching this video again today after Stephen did the final walk-thru video for us as the sale closes this week. I hope the new owners, another Stokes family, loves this home as much as I do. It will always be Phyllis' house to me.
Beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous! I love your house and the antiques! I wouldn't sell it! Your house looks like a model home. Very well kept. No clutter. Phyllis, you are so talented! Beautiful painting of the house. I admire you.
I love your home it is so beautiful. You have it decorated so pretty. I am new to your viedoes and have enjoyed all of them so much. You have a very soothing voice as well as Mr Bucky. I enjoy him too.
What a perfect home. They put so much effort into it. In retrospect it breaks my heart. However we never know what lies ahead and they were so happy and looking so well doing this project, I am pleased they had this time together. It really was the perfect home 🥰
I miss you both so very much. Phyllis & Mr. Bucky you were both a joy to watch. I never met you but I felt like I was a neighbor coming over to visit every time I watched a video. You tought me so much about cooking, life & love. Watching this particular video I could feel how proud you were and how much love you had for your beautiful home. Whoever buys this home I wish them a home full of love & happiness. God Bless you Phillis & Mr. Bucky. May you both be in the arms of Jesus & dancing with the angels. RIP.
Wonderful recipe! We miss you dear Phyllis, I’m sure that you and your sweet heart are walking hand in hand in heaven. Thank you for the beautiful legacy you left for your wonderful family and to us, your viewers , we love and miss you.
Absolutely beautiful house. The pinewood floors are outstanding along with the taller ceilings and all the moldings and fireplaces all typical architecture of the era. The antique furnishings distinctly create a real-life vintage atmosphere. I enjoy older houses and add my collected antique pieces to my more modern home. Newly built homes can be beautiful but they lack embellishments which could so easily added during construction. Anyhow. The older houses like this are a bonus to own if you're lucky. Your mother and Bucky were fortunate folks to have lived there.
5 years ago...... Miss Phyllis and Mr.Bucky were destined to always live in their beautiful home. Each of them passed in the downstairs TV room that they shared with Steely and Peppy. Such a beautiful couple. Miss Phyllis and Mr. Bucky are the epitome of Southern Americana..... a solid Christian couple who lived a solid American Life.
One of the nice things about your tour, Miss Phyllis and Mr. Bucky, is that you have this video so that all your family, friends and of course, you, will be able to revisit the home anytime you get homesick. I know you are weary and ready to start over at Mountain Rest.....here's to a fast sell of your property. Hugs, Judy
I wonder what her children done with their homes and their properties since they're no longer of this Earth they're in heaven now I don't know if I kept it in the family or not but other said they were good people their children were good people and whatever they made the right decision whatever it was because it was theirs to do and to take care of and do as they saw fit God bless.
@@helenboula3538 I ALWAYS FELT I WAS FAMILY HERE WITH THEM RIGHT THROUGH EVERY VIDEO - THEIR SON, STEPHEN, TOURED THE HOUSE ONE LAST TIME AFTER EMPTIED & WAS SOLD, TO SAY GOODBYE. SO SAD - I MISS PHYLLIS & BUCKY SO MUCH....
I absolutely loved getting the tour of the home. It's a showcase home. Bucky and Miss Phyllis put so much in this house to make it the home it is. Home Sweet home 🏡 xoxo
jess mills if I bought the house that clock would stay just where it is at that exact time. And to be honest, I’d make sure I signed for the house at that exact time!
Perhaps 3:02 held personal significance & the clock purposely 'frozen in time'. Otherwise would have been repaired, as house & furnishings impeccably maintained.
Watching this again on 12th Feb 2021. I still miss this wonderful lady. Her soft soithing southern accent and her videos helped me at the worst time of my life. Whenever I need a pick-me-up, I go through her videos and listen to my favourites. Sending love from England 🇬🇧❤
Phyllis, the home & grounds are absolutely beautiful! I"m seeing this 3 yrs after the video was made so I need to see more videos to see if you sold it. I just discovered your channel either late 2018 or eay 2019. I'm praying for you every night since your many hospital visits, surgery & upcoming chemo & radiation therapy. You're such a model couple, wonderful people & I totally enjoy you both, your channel & the wonderful recipes & stories. Bless you both! 😊👌🕊
I tell you they just don't build houses like they use to, what a beautiful home. If it were me I would not want to sell it a prize of a home it surely is. I just love it. I'm sure you will have no problem with finding a buyer.
Great video! Husband and I own 1910 Folk Victorian home. I am 60 and he is 70 come August. We're ready to get a smaller place, too! We just can't keep up with the upkeep anymore. I am so loving being welcomed into your home. Thank you!
Thank God for this couple. I’m so glad You Tube exists. We can visit this lovely home and couple over and over now they are in heaven. They were a Blessing. ♥️♥️
Oh how beautiful! I would be sad to leave such a home. I just found you today through a food video so I'm about to binge watch you to get up to par. :)
This is the first time I have seen this video. How I will miss your Mother. I have tried some of her recipes and have never been disappointed. I know you will miss her and Mr. Bucky. But you can always watch her videos and remember her and her wonderful cooking! And through them you can feel her love for Mr. Bucky. RIP Phylllis. I will miss you.
Just happened upon your channel and I subscribed. This house is absolutely beautiful....nothing built today can compare ! My sister lives in the farm house our grandparents built in 1907....the hardwood floors came from the farm and my grandfather cut every piece. I saw the gooseneck arm chair. My dad had one when I was little and it was "Dad's Chair". I remember as a kid curling up in his chair with his reading lamp in the second grade reading a biography of Louisa Mae Alcott which gave me my love of biographies and non-fiction. I just finished watching the video of "Our Story" that you made. I was also divorced with two small children and worked my butt off to support them on my own, and I have to say, knock wood, that they turned out to be two great boys who could have been running the streets while I worked graveyard...a 12 hours daylight/graveyard shift...thought about remarriage but I always said I didn't want anything else that was living (even a houseplant) to support...lol......Beautiful home, beautiful story, beautiful kids and a supportive mate....nothing could make you richer.
Y'all have done an amazing job in getting the house ready for sale. I love the way you have furnished and decorated all the rooms. Some lucky person is in for a prize.
Every time I see Mr. Bucky, I have to smile...He looks so much like my dad that I lost 4 years ago...It's almost like I'm getting a glimpse of my dad. My dad even sounded like him....My dad was such a soft spoken, sweet man...It seems that I can see and hear that in your husband too... You two seem like such sweet people.....You also have such a lovely house.....Oh and I absolutely love the orange/ burnt sienna color on the walls in the parlor.....Gorgeous...
Absolutely stunning home. Your home is lovely decorated. Immaculately kept..what's not to love. Except, your not here for me to tell you..what a lovely lady you are. Thank you for sharing your home. God bless, and know you great folks are safe in God's arms.
This is one beautiful home. Much more than a house because you can see all the love you guys have put into it. It will be sold very quickly. If God would bless me with the funds, I'd snap it up in an instant! God Bless you both and I hope that you are just as happy if not more at Mountain Rest
Thank you so much for leaving these wonderful videos up. I miss them both. Watched almost all of their videos and some of them twice. Phyllis’s voice is very calming to me especially in these times. Again, thank you so much! You are a wonderful son. Your parents would be proud of you.
Here in Canada your house and lot would go for at least half a million. The furnishings would go for many thousands. God bless you on your next chapter in your life.
I love it. I agree just perfect. Forget about the driveway. I like the green trim around the front door. Ms.Phyllis you and Mr. Buckie did an outstanding job on your home. I'm 57 I could not ever do what you two did. Well done
oh Phyllis I just love you..you have really great taste in every thing you do wether it's your fabulous cooking or the decorating of your beautiful home!I absolutely love older homes and antiques..you have done such a good job making your home comfy..the color of your parlor is beautiful!!thank you for sharing!!
What a beautiful and gracious home! I hope you find the perfect occupants. I'm a brand new subscriber, so I don't even know where it is. Love the antiques!
Our house is from 1904, with a very similar layout. We have a “front parlor” and “back parlor” too, and also have the sliding pocket doors, but for us, to the dining room. We screened our side porch in, and it’s our favorite “room”! Thanks so much for sharing! It’s a beautiful home, and you’ll always have this video as a remembrance of that!
A beautiful home, as so many have said. I am to the point you are, ready to downsize. We have a lifetime of stuff, mostly vintage & antiques, not sure how to handle it all........ Excited for you, as follow you on your journey
I love your home, it's decorated so beautifully. It's amazing to have so many closets and bathrooms in a home of this age. Mr Bucky and your dog's are a delight!
I would move to SC if I could live in your earthly home, Ms. Phyllis. I know you were tickled pink to get into your tiny home but now I can’t imagine you and your sweet Bucky living anywhere else. Maybe one day I will buy this abode. 🤓
I love this house. So bright with all of the windows. I love the floors and the moldings. I agree, Mr. Bucky saying "we are already gone in our hearts and in our minds." Is so moving, now that they are gone. Makes me cry.
Most beautiful house love historical home's. Rip Phyllis & Mr Bucky I'm catching up on videos I just found your channel about 6 months ago. Glad this channel will be kept up.
they were such a special couple...mrs phyllis inspire me to be a hard working woman...and mr. bucky was so easy going n patient....i hope they will meet up again in the next life.
I can't take it. First Auntie Fee and Mrs. Phyllis. My favorite personalities keep passing away. I loved both of them and learned so much from them. My emotions can't take it.
Aww, everything looks so nice and brought back memories of growing up in an older home . I love all the character of older homes ! You both sure did great job !!
A lovely find. It was your lime/ cream cheese dessert that attracted me. Never knew of and never expected so much else. Everything shows attention has been paid. Raised three kids and not a bit of wear nor clutter cloys the picture. Delightful span of time short as it was and I didn't want to leave -- I'll search all your videos. Of course it's been just about 2 years since -- many questions bubbling up...
I would've bought the house just for the kitchen...just thinking that Ms.Phyllis cooked and baked all that delicious food coming outta there! Maybe some of that "cooking magic" would rub off on me! I should be so lucky! Ha!
Today is 5/25/20 and I’m just getting to know Phyllis. Watched some of the videos and I’m so touched by her courage and endurance throughout such a horrendous experience. She is the kind of person I would have liked to know as a friend or neighbor. She is special indeed. She will awaken someday and so will Mr. Bukey and I look forward to meeting them both. Until then, RIP.
