Your home is a dream! So cozy! As an American I'm fascinated by the idea of an Aga since it's quite different from the range/ovens we use here. I love how you kept to the history of the house and I would always love to hear more about it's story! Thank you!

Thoroughly enjoyed this instalment, I’m a little bit addicted to the kitchen/larder/pantry elements of historical homes. Its so interesting to me how we’ve evolved through the hundreds of years to now use such small spaces due to labour saving machinery. I’m fascinated with the social history of it. I’ve just chosen lime white by Farrow & Ball for our Victorian kitchen! I was struggling to find lots of examples of it in real life rooms! Love this!

As always you are such a joy! I love love love kitchens in general but yours is just a treat! I think one of the things about your tour that was just wonderful and seemingly so English to me, is although everything is tidy and clean none of it was fussy and fake looking. I looks as it always is and is just so real. Here in the US when people do a tour, it all looks like a showroom with everything lined up like soldiers and just so stiff and unfriendly. What an amazing house, I love the way you have decorated it and brought it back to life. Our stone cottage in Wales suffered the same abuse in the 1960's. The beams were covered, the inglenook fireplaces bricked up and terrible wallpaper adorned the walls

I adore traditional kitchen rooms, we had an old dairy, just off the pantry in our home growing up. It had amazing cold slate slabs surfaces, they worked like a refrigerator. Your kitchen/larder/scullery are fabulous, and I love so many individual elements of them! Together they all feel so comforting yet cool, really inspiring! ❤

Confession - I live in an old farmhouse in Cornwall and we usually use the front door unless it’s a wet dog situation! I used to work at Liberty in the early 70’s - just part time for the sales and Christmas while I was at college, an absolutely beautiful place.

Wow I think you did the most superb job! Interesting about the AGA stove. I do not know much about history. I only know that I’m buying one and the same color for my up-and-coming house! It is wonderful that it serves as A heating device for your kitchen that has no heating. Then look at the product sustainability. You were actually able to purchase a matching price over a half century later.

Bonjour! I have really enjoyed seeing your video today! Our house is a 400 year old longère in Brittany, France and like you we have been renovating it over some years. Your kitchen reminds us so much of our own kitchen here with its larder. (l’arrière cuisine) We have some English Cornish -Ware and like you, some willow pattern blue and white plates, and even a sink drainer! I love the way you have decorated your kitchen and scullery and still have retained so much of the original character! The meat plates hung on the wall behind the Aga was especially interesting. I would really like to know what you have used to hang them. I have not yet found big or strong enough plate holders here! I very much look forward to seeing future videos of your wonderful house! Loved this! Loved seeing the hidden appliances and what is behind the cupboards. I have always wondered what those holes were in that cupboard by the door. Now I know- vent for the fridge. So fun to see! I would love a video that is fashion adjacent. Do you have dressing room, closet/wardrobe? How do you store all your amazing vintage pieces and how do you decide what to wear? You have an absolutely stunning family home. We live in Bearsted, Kent (you may have visited/been through it at some point) and live in a teeny tiny 1730s cottage so your home is much older than ours. We’ve done a lot to it but been totally sympathetic as much as our budget would allow but then again it is listed so lots of rules and regulation………. Your Aga is amazing. We bought the City electric one as the chimney had been taken out in the kitchen. It was a moment of monetary madness but I absolutely love it. It’s cream too but has the traditional Aga hob. I constantly use the slow oven for casseroles and stews in the winter. I have the Le Crueset kettle too but in the orange volcanic colour. The yellow colour is perfect. Have a Dualit toaster too but cream one! Always wanted a kitchen table but no room for one. Love your candle holders, crockery and baskets and I’ve always wanted a top loading washing machine. Can you tell I love all your stuff 😂. Sorry if I’ve bored you. Would love a plait tutorial please. Thank you for showing us around. Lesley x
