Features of the French town of Èze Village
Èze Village is a charming village village located on a hilltop on the French Riviera. It is considered one of the most beautiful medieval villages in the region and has retained its natural charm over the years. It is characterized by its pink flowers and flowers growing everywhere, its shops, art galleries, and jewelry stores on the winding alleys. From the first sight of Èze, we were reminded of an eagle’s nest perched on top of a hill. We arrived at this charming village by bus from Nice, and after a short walk from the bus station, we found ourselves in front of an ancient stone arch at the entrance to the village. This arch was the gateway to a very romantic place, surrounded by narrow streets decorated with flowers and filled with the sound of singing birds. A narrow cobblestone alley, decorated with old street lamps, invited us to enter a world that seemed to be linked to its medieval origins. We wandered through a corridor of pink buildings. Every arch, door, window, balcony, and corner of the walls was decorated with flowering plants. We were inconceivably impressed by the beauty of Èze. This beautiful enchantress was just waking up when we arrived. The chimes of church bells that filled its empty streets invited us in. We entered the church through an arched gate supported by a tall tower and prayed with holy water. The place was deserted except for the statues that decorated the altar, the walls, and the stained glass windows of the Baroque building. The soft melodies of the flute swirled around us like an ocean of mercy. Although we were in a strange place, seemingly hidden in the depths of nothingness, we felt at home. In that moment, we knew that by being alive, we express His pleasure. It was one of the most moving moments we had ever experienced. We would have liked to stay, but we had other pressing things to do, like exploring the rest of Èze as it prepared for another day.
