Ever since we built our log home we have been asked for a tour. So today that is exactly what we are doing. We are giving a tour of our log home. We built this log home in 2018. It isn't a true a log home. It actually has Log Siding that is hand hewn with dovetail corners. The walls are 2x6 conventional framing that is filled with spray insulation. The roof is actually timber framed with 4 x 8 pine timbers. The roof also has 6.6" of foam board insulation. This house is very efficient to heat and cool. Our average Electric bill is only $125 a month. There is no drywall in our log home, we covered all the walls in pine tongue and groove. Living in a log home has been a dream of ours, and we are now living our dream. I would like to say a big thanks to Ed at Countrymark Log homes, they were great to work with.

Thank you very much for giving us a tour of your home . I remember watching your vids on the build . I can see that you are very proud of your home . It is very beautiful . Can't imagine the work that it took in dealing with all of the craftsman working on your home . Most You Tubers don't even show their garage , front of their home or even the back door entrance . Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! This is spot on to what I want. I am still in the clearing land phase of my homestead build. Thank you for some inspiration to think about. The wife is dead set on a wrap around. The only difference I want is to have the porch in a concrete slab. The kitchen island is spot on what I invision for ours but having the sink there . Beautiful place guys.

One of the well planned and well crafted house. It has very spacious spaces for livings and additional rooms at the basement. For a basement it has double door access right to the corridor and ground. All the outbuildings well planned around the house at a good distance. Leaving the surroundings of the house with good views and not cluttered. The outside porch surroundings the corridors...where one can leaves muddy boots is very good .very practical and making the maintenance inside the house less hardwork to scrub the floor for dirt and dust. Wooden with modern inside and practical too. Well done.

Your video’s popped up on my RU-vid video gallery of video’s. I started watching a few video’s and I kept seeing this log home in the background so I found this in your video files. I started watching and I can’t believe how beautiful your home is, it is gorgeous the logs are so pretty and you guys have done a excellent job decorating everything. What I really like is everything you’ve put in your home like your cupboards, walls and other items will not go out of style. I hate when people decorate their homes with certain schemes and then they have to change the decor every few years. I love your wrap around porch I’ve always wanted a home with a porch that goes all the way around the house. Why hop off the porch and then get back on one I’m the back side of the house when you can build a porch that goes completely around. God Bless🙏🏻

Very nice features. love the pex piping and master control panel it provides. we built a new house on our farm about 2016 with a large kitchen island and find we meet and visit company around it more than we do our den. we built plumbing into our basement as well but still have to do both the small kitchen and bathroom there. I like your tile shower. I may end up doing something like that in our basement with a corrugated ceiling that may help with humidity concerns.

Evan & Rebekah's house seems attainable for most of us (that's why they have so many followers. They motivate & inspire us and for older folks, reminisce). The one you referred her to seems out of most people's range. Plus, most of us are here because of their simplicity.

Yes, we have very similar paths. But we waited till our kids were grown up. Your kids will have a lot of good memories when they look back. We wish we would have moved to the country when our kids were younger.
