i always enjoy looking at the older tech that we all grew up with, and just think about how far we really came, from the ipod to cell phones, it is really amazing. Thanks for the video man, Keep em coming!
aaah a trip down memory lane! i still have my old zip disk drive and a 250MB zip disc, not used it in ages but they were way cool to have. interesting unboxing, the packaging was well thought out, and miles ahead of anything else back then, really shows how apple packaging has remained ahead of the game :)
I can remember when that iPod came out and my brother got one, I was so green with envy, I so wanted one. It was so expensive and Niamh had just been born so I could not aford to spend money on the iPod. When you opened the headphones I was screaming at the screen, "Don't do it" thinking that they could be worth some money to a collector still in the packet. Excellent trip down memory lane mate, talk to you soon.
Very cool! I do agree with you, in such little time technology has come such a long way. I can only imagine what everything will look like in 10 years.
Pretty amazing to see how fast time and technology went by over the past 10 years. When you said " lets open up the headphones" I was like "NO!!!!!!!". haha, they might have been worth something in that condition.
i think the first iPod is sooo cool(well, it really was in its time :D i still remember how cool it was), and wow, it has more storage than my iPod touch 2g, it has only 8gb lol( i still can't survive without my old 30GB iPod :D) and it's so nice to see how care you took with your apple's earphone haha thanks for the vid dude, you really got the most important gadgets of the decade :D i really enjoyed to watch your video =)
woow i remember all those things. i never had a mini disk. i had an audio Cassette player haha. then i got a CD walkmen. and i still have my zip drive. never use it anymore. its so cool watching how much technology has changed in 9 years.
lol I HAD A MINI DISK player. It was the Sony NET MD. Got it in like 2005 or 2006 whenever they first came out. I actually old it a couple of weeks ago.
Great video. Question: Does the iPod still turn on? if not, it's because the battery has died. You can replace that if you want to get it working again.
Everyone says they focus more doing work with music, but the only music that helps me is beethoven, mozart, etc. like Jon. If its music I enjoy, I get distracted and start singing.
Haha I remember using a Fujifilm digital camera with 1.3 Megapixels with the exact same storage card. Mine was about 16 MB and I remember paying a lot for it! :)
can you try to make a video of the ipod turning on or plugging it into your computer? It would be cool to see if iTunes recognizes it(on windows not mac because your iPod was formatted for windows).
john thats so cool the headphones could have been worth something to apple fans or Steve Jobs or some old museum oh well u just opened the last pair off the face of the Earth
Although i was not big with computers and music back then i remember that the MD player was the coolest thing around then. Also something i think is funny is that was when apple was not stingy. that ipod came with a case and all. i had l to buy my case separate. Cool Video though. the newer generation of youtubers dont know remember half this stuff.
I'm afraid not. I really like the retro look of it compared to the ones that are right now. My battery died 2 times so I took it to apple and they replaced it for me for a low price. Still goes like new and I only listen to music so I'm set.
A floppy disk is a data storage medium that is composed of a disk of thin, flexible "floppy" magnetic storage medium encased in a square or rectangular shell. :D lol
