What a lovely video 🍺🍺 Brings back memories! I lived on the island for 3 1/2 years until 2008. Loved every day of it, was exploring every weekend! My favourite place was Ventnor aswell as nearby Strephill Cove! The pub in Ventnor you went to, The Spyglass Inn, is my all time favourite pub in the UK! The Beauty of Ventnor is that it’s dated, I don’t understand what people are complaining about, the whole island is “dated”! Wonderful!!

Also I loved Ryde, lived there for my first year on the island! There was a Caf on Union Street where you could have English breakfast for 50p.

Fantastic video. Loved all your comments and places you went to. I lived in Ventnor for eighteen years and loved everything about the Island. Your dogs are so eager and friendly and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Now on the mainland and miss the beautiful island. Thanks again. 😅😅😅

What a lovely video, the first I've seen of yours. I've always loved the Isle of Wight even though I've only been once in the early 70s, in the days when they had a Pontins there, called 'Little Canada' if I remember correctly. I didn't get to see much outside of the camp then, but seeing your video just shows what a gorgeous place it is, I could certainly live there. As someone mentioned, this was certainly better and more interesting than the documentary on Channel 5 I saw.

Despite having lived here year for years, I went on the Hovercraft for the first time a few weeks ago. Now nothing usually makes me nauseous, never been sea or travel sick and love thrill rides. On the way out the Hovercraft bounced so much I thought I was going to be sick, I've never felt so nauseated, took nearly an hour at the other side to shake it. Luckily, was smooth as glass on the way back and loved it!

We are going to IOW on Friday, my husband has disability problems and watching your guided tour has shown me places where he will be able to go comfortably. So looking forward to it. We have Bertie who could actually be Lilley's brother! Thank you keep making these videos. There are many things I don't like about living here, lot's that we don't have that you can find easily on the mainland and the profiteering of the ferry companies really takes the *&$£. They're outweighed by having so many great beaches, beautiful scenery and laid back people. Living in a big city, you get so much aggro, rage and horning on the roads, here, you might as well disconnect your horn, it's so laid back and friendly.

Hi Debbie. The Donkey Sanctuary is at a place called Wroxhall in the middle of the south of the Island. I am 90% sure we saw buses near shanklin which said they went there 😊 you can’t feed them as they have strict diets but you can stroke them to your hearts content 😊 hope this helps?
