The lift in the whale hall has several idiosyncrasies: 1) You can't exceed five persons. 2) You can't touch the sides, or the life will stop. 3) If you don't hold down the button (up/down) the lift will not move. 4) If the lift stops, do not panic - take a deep breath and recap the previous three steps.

the small lift is a modernized jackson lift

I believe the glass lifts in the new section were all installed by ThyssenKrupp.

the large big glass lift its an old otis that has been modernaized by jackson and now they had its logic replaced by generic

Some wierd thing happened the first time I went there, the cocoon lifts, when I was going down in them, they stopped between 5 and G, the lifts don't like me

the roped hydraulic lift is a 1990s jackson and has maintained by generic

the gallery is used to have small 4.2 hydraulic lift but its been replaced by modern day schindler with 5.2 ms

They might be a lift with the 3 speed door

Or the glass hydraulic jackson on the one by the cacoon are still there so in other words they only have the glass ones now!!! And replaced the other schindlers and generics with glass jackson hydraulics!

The old Bennie lift was replaced by a crap generic company, but it’s not a Jackson. All of the lifts w/ silver Dewhurst have since been modded again. The lifts to the Cocoon were unfortunately either turned off/closed or broken when I was there.

So I came here on May 10th this year on a school trip coming back to Wales (we went to the junior london 2012 olympics and stayed the night in a hotel) and guess what??? Theres no more schindlers or generics or anything like that now!!! They only have the lifts like the one by the blue whale!!! I was going to film around there but my camera broke!
