We are in England and touring the Crossland 4x4 expedition vehicle. Built on a MAN 4x4 truck chassis with composite walls and finished with a beautiful interior.
Our walk through starts with talking about the benefits and features of the MAN chassis and then the features on the exterior of the vehicle before touring the interior and talking about the components used in the build.

I like it. Loved the U shape sofa. It is a must in a box like this with a convertible bed. Fellows, the ones that want a terrace on top of the box, they add and built anything your heart desires.

Fantastic tour very nice rig. No AC or generator of England is cool for the most part. Overall very very nice workmanship. They should be proud. I like the heating system. I had a Cirrus Camper and it had the Swedish version of that I forgot the name but if I bought another one I would have to have it again.

That propane outlet on the side of the rig is really interesting. Do you by any chance know of one that is available in the US? Maybe the one they have with an adapter. I'd really like to put one on my rig for an outside kitchen. I'm not sure I'm crazy about the oak countertop. Although it looks great I'm not sure how it will stand up to heavy use. Maybe it's a UK thing. All in all a very impressive rig. Keep the good stuff coming guys.

People who don't live in a truck look at the rear seating group and oak worktops and say "oooh, isn't that lovely". Even Rebecca is saying "it looks beautiful". Coo... yes, the box is NEW! Think what it'll be like in another 20 years. As someone who lives in an off road truck permanently, as Ben and Rebecca do, I have to add a dose of realism here. I agree everything is a compromise, but it seems more attention has been paid to the bling and appearance than the meat and potatoes. Which is fine, but... Claiming "high teens" MPG of a 10 tonne truck with off-road tyres at 50psi and 4x4 gubbins and a big box with the roof rack and all those body bars and the 2 tyres on the back whistling in the wind is a pipe dream. It's just a plain lie. He might get 14, downhill, with a following wind and the tyres pumped up to 6+ Bar. Why not just state the truth? It'll be 12 to 13 if you are very lucky and drive slowly on the motorways. That small 4-cyl engine has to work HARD. Ben didn't call him out because it's quite hard maths to convert UK to US gallons. There's no indication of the type of chassis articulation or tyre size? And wheel type, they look like standard steel rims? Any tyre inflation equipment? You can't manage with a footpump, as you know. For those people who think it's unnecessary, and that I'm just criticising for nothing, if you have one of these trucks you have to change tyre pressure regularly. If you have mechanical sympathy depending on whether you are on fast roads making progress, or off road on rock, or sand, or mud or corrugations etc. I don't drive in Georgia with anything like the pressure I use in the UK on normal roads. Also, those close fitting rear mudguards will get jammed up with mud/snow and even big stones. And that external water tank will be a royal pain in the ass in any winter, or altitude. Every time the thermometer approaches zero, (even mid journey, say you simply drive over the M62 at Saddleworth, never mind the Alps, or the Caucus mountains where I am now, or Alaska or many US states or even parts of Spain or Morocco in winter) you'll panic and have to drain the system or it will expand and go pop. You'll be asleep and the temp can drop 10 degrees C without you noticing, inside. Get real. Water tanks can *only* be inside for practical use. And just 150 liters inside will last you 3 days at best. No mention of filtration systems? The truck desperately needs some windscreen protection from trees/bushes to push the branches away before they clang against the windscreen.. This happens a lot. The little step on the front is neat, but vulnerable. Get a branch in it, and it might rip off. Anything lower than the steel bumper is a liability. You might not get a "tail strike" often, but it happens, and he mentions diff locks and it's got XZLs so the truck is obviously designed for proper off road, and often you can't choose the terrain you encounter. I'm in Georgia and at least 20% of cars don't have front and/or rear bumpers on for EXACTLY this reason. In a sticky situation or even just trying to 3-point-turn off road with rocks or tree stumps around... or urban bollards... if you slam that garage into something rocky, or have to cross a ditch or whatever, a bit of angle iron underneath won't stop it getting hammered. At worst you'll crack the box sidewalls with the best part of 10 tonnes bouncing on it. Or you'll get stuck. There is a good reason everyone else does it differently. There's a reason why Ben doesn't simply stick a massive box below the garage on Denny. In deep snow or mud it will be like an anchor if it digs in. He (Mr Crossland) admits you'll whack the front corners of the box occasionally (true), but magically the rear will float above hard or very soft terrain? Nah. If you want to carry cycles that badly, stick them on the outside, up high on the front or the back... easy. There's no mention of roof vents, there is only one small skylight on the roof? But no Maxxair or similar? In hot weather you'll suffocate without forced airflow. Ben, you are well aware of the effects of condensation in winter. Same applies. You need some forced ventilation. Must say, a slightly older Euro 0 truck with no electronics would be a far better choice, you can tell he's clutching at straws when he says one of the benefits is "you can fit cruise control". What do you do when the (old) computer PCB dies or a chip goes AWOL in Mongolia. Even a MAN dealer is unlikely to have every part for a 2005 truck on the shelf. You need things you can fix with a hammer, basically. How much solar (only 2 small panels visible on the roof), so in a northern European winter especially, this will struggle... and never keep up with the induction cooking ring which is fitted as tech bling. You know that, Ben, that's why you have your diesel cooker, and you have the BattleBorn lithiums. And what's the battery type and size(s)? Is it 12 or 24 volt system? I notice the electronics aren't Victron, the industry standard. What windows are they, they look OK (good, in fact) but why aren't they a selling point? The toilet is simple and good, and the carpentry looks pretty, but that kitchen worktop doesn't make an expedition truck. In the trade, that Truma system is known as "Trauma" for good reason. Vitrifrigo is fine, fine, but having it so low on the floor means you'll be on your hands and knees to see what you've jammed in it. It's a bit small if you're on an "expedition". These Crossland guys are very nice people, clearly, and with a bit more function over form it could be a decent truck... BUT he (Mr Crossland) >>desperately

@@KIE-hi4qc it's just funny the way you pronounce it compared the way we pronounce it. I love the British accent and we are a comedians making fun at each other. I get a kick our of India accent. Your camper is very well made and I loved the quality of your workmanship. One criticism is the GAS hookup should be on the camping side and noticed someone else made mention of that. And one last thing was the price was sky high but I also don't know what your market is like over in the UK. GOOD DAY MATE
