The concrete, glass, metal and wood has been tastefully installed with impeccable craftsmanship. I have watched my fair share of RU-vid open house videos of expensive homes and this is by far one of the best homes I have seen.

The concrete work is just incredible!! Someone spent a LOT of money. The attention to detail is incredible and as Matt states, the architectural firm did an incredible job. It takes a tremendous amount of work and coordination to pull off an piece of artwork like this home as only Matt can do!!

I can appreciate your handy work on this one Matt! The details in this house are amazing. Not one door, shower or sink that I saw commercially made. It's all uniquely built for this one of a kind home. This house holds many ingredients to my forever home that I will have. Deep eaves, floor to ceiling glass, non traditional walls, 12' ceilings. I imagine it's quite efficient with the quality materials. I can't imagine what the interior and exterior lighting look like. What a masterpiece. Outstanding work Matt!

The combination of wood, glass, concrete and steel is very aesthetically pleasing and it creates a natural feel. These are the materials I would use if I was building a house. The use of concrete and steel, in particular, appeals to me because it extremely low maintenance. An ideal home design is one that maximizes durability and minimizes maintenance as much as possible. Well done.

I'm always blown away by the craftsmanship on your builds but this has by-far been my favorite design as far as architectural detail. I would have loved to see more floor plan, though!

Admittedly, I am critical of some videos, especially when something doesn’t make sense. This house is an example of exceptional skills at all levels of the construction Team. The homeowners should be very proud of everyone’s efforts! Amazing work!

@@animes2k The insane part is that $100 in materials and a few hours could make most any bath and shower impermeable to moisture forever, but everyone is lazy and cheaps out on it. A few layers of liquid waterproofing is cheap insurance!

@MattRisinger Good job on the build. Not a fan of the concrete floors, but only because I've worked on them for years & my dad has perminant nerve damage and is crippled from working on concrete for 40+ years. I only wanted to mention it for awareness.

Wow. Masterpiece is an accurate description. One thing I noticed in the background that you didn't mention at all was what looks like a little doggy door set into the wall section beside the fireplace concrete structure. (3:45) Such a great detail for the homeowner! One of many.

That return air detail is such a great touch. Love it and how many other details are blended in (hiding the office sliding door as millwork, flush open doors, etc). Beautiful work!

Those flush mount doors should be standard in every build. I absolutely hate traditional door framing and skirting. (Yes yes I know, it's a fraction of the cost of doing these flush mounted...) Such a nice standard on details. Nice to see and how nice of the owner to show their house like this.

I am definitely NOT a fan of modern home design...but this is the first I've ever liked, loved even. I believe it is because it is not stark white! The different textures and colors all work very well together. Thanks for sharing.

More than a home more than a structure a beautiful very beautiful piece of art !!! I've been in construction all my life and all involved should be very very proud !!! There's only one big thing that would make it better if it was totally off-grid self-sustaining . If you could truly establish that in a home you would truly be above all others ! Aquaponics Hydroponics with some cool water features added would be most premium ! Mimic that outside glass wall with an indoor desert Aquarium and Atrium would be really cool too . or the jungle same bringing the jungle to the desert might be cool also . Tons of well-deserved love and appreciation !!!!!!!!9

Camera guy, it would be helpful if you could show what he's showing, floor to ceiling (show the transition) toilet and stuff. Matt, slow down so the camera guy can catch up. It's an amazing house. I'd love to see all the pouring. Definitely Frank Lloyd Wright inspired with the choice of materials.

Since it's a very practical and useful channel I would like to have an idea of average cost. I love when builders don't use baseboards to connect between floor to walls. this house is incredible and timeless.

I wish I could appreciate board formed concrete walls. I had a foundation in an old 19th century foundation wall, and it always looked cheesy and cheap. Being in the concrete industry for almost 20 years, I have really come to like the smooth concrete walls in commercial construction. Especially when they're almost polished smooth... Install some radiant heat in those walls, and I would have my dream home. :)
