Our campus is home to a state-of-the-art sand fly and tsetse fly colony. Join Prof. Guy Caljon (Lab of Microbiology, Parasitology and Hygiene) for a quick tour through this fly colony facility, and he’ll explain how his team is using these flies to find new treatments for leishmaniasis (transmitted by sand flies) and sleeping sickness (transmitted by tsetse flies).
