I built a small rooftop cabin for my 9 " screen monitor and easily connected to my dvd stereo system rca Jacks extentions including a cigarette lighter extention so now when movie's are being seen it has full surround sound with a amp and a subwoofer bazooka bass tube sounds really awesome.... and in this video they did a perfect and neat job..
Alpine installs so clean, this is what I'm getting also. But I already pre-ran RCA input wires to the factory AUX port from the rear of the connector so when DVD is playing, I just need to switch the factory head unit to AUX mode so I can use the stereo speakers on the car. Also pre-ran additional RCA for video and audio to glove compartment so I can install a game console.
hey bro I have a 15" i put in a lincoln towncar.. it shows good with the engine off but once I crank the car up the flipdown gets alot of distortion. we tried moving the ground and power wires to diff locations and still the same thing.. do you think it could be the rca's? what would you recommend trying? thanks for your time
At 5:44 you are using a connector, is this a VW specific connector for the fuse box? Or can that be purchased in any electronics parts store? And where do you get the diagram for the fuse box?
1st thing it wont be centred and passengers in 3rd row wont be able to view screen.2nd it wont display whats on the head unit.i have figured out a way to install without removing headliner or cutting it with a tidy looking finnish and its adjustable in viewing angles.
True man, some people like me does not like this kind of modification on vehicles, i preffer tu buy one car that is intact (no holes just to have one entertainment system or monitor)
I have touran and i didnt want to cut or remove the headliner for a monitor.i made my own monitor mount for a 10inch screen.i had to make only two 3mm holes 20mm apart just above the upper compartment casing edge.if i did remove it i would be left with two small holes that can be hidden with a small logo badge.
