TOURAN SEATS IN A CADDY? THIS IS HOW TO! - Part 1 

@@vikr0 with the engine it depends what you use the van for. Mine is the 2.0l dsg so for motorway miles it’s great. With the rear seats it depends how often they would be used. It is super easy to take the rear seats out whenever you need the space to use the full back. I believe VW may still sell the parts. If not, there are quite a few people selling kits online. You could easily add a simple cover over the hardline but I rarely have people in the back and they always end up stepping over the center piece anyway

@@kreynolds8845 I believe they have produced the same Touran since the early 2000s. The caddy I removed these seats from was a 2008. If you are lucky then you can find tourans with leather seats too

No I don’t think it means you have to have a fresh MOT just for doing this. As long as it passes the next MOT you should be fine. You definitely do have to notify your insurance of the change though. Hopefully this helps! 🤞🏻

Hi Casey, I used a normal drill for it all. Most of the spot welds I ended up riveting so I needed to drill straight through anyway. Just be carefully not to poke through too far with the drill to not hit things such as the fuel tank. Areas that were not being riveted I just took my time to ensure I did not drill through the metal behind the panel I was removing. Hopefully this helps! 🤞🏻

Just got my panel out & I’m ready to cut the front of the side panel to fit. What did you do with the 3 tank bolts? Cheers

I believe they were 5/6mm rivets. The bigger the better ideally!

@@Haydzx-tn3gy yes we did, as much as possible on all contact areas. That’s one part I believe was missed out of the video unfortunately

Tiger seal or any strong bond should be okay!
