Really cool, thanks for sharing! Also got a chuckle out of the voice overs. AKA Andersen nixed something and said, you must instead say "XYZ". I get it though, all a part of the privilege of being able to film and share something like this.
I have been fortunate to tour this Andersen and the glass plant twice. The first thing that struck me was that NSBuilders must have special permission to film. We were told and watched and scolded that there was no photography allowed. The factory and history is amazing. The employees all seemed to be proud to be part of Andersen. good factory tour.
It is satisfying to see them coating the end grain and completely wrapping the exterior of the jambs with a single piece. Over the years, I have replaced so many window sash and jambs on Anderson Windows that rotted from water penetration of the end grain. This is all on windows that were twenty or more years old.
I have had, repaired and seen these problems on multiple houses and buildings. Anderson has changed their process to coat the end grain and to create a wrap that seamlessly seals the exterior of the window. They did this in response to the problems that I described. @@williamdemilia6223
I’ve had my Anderson windows and patio door that were installed in 1983. Still in good shape but I would like to change them out. I can’t complain good product
I had existing aluminum frame windows replaced with Anderson windows by their installers. I’ve never seen anything done so professional as the ex builder. I expect the best I could not complain three different crews did different windows each one was professional.( that’s best money I’ve ever spent on my home)😊
Anderson are decent but have had quality problems. What also bugs me when i spend 12,000 for a french door set i need two guys half a day it assemble it. Your not buying a door but a bunch of parts.
Cool video, I am getting quotes right now for windows on a new build and looking at Anderson 100 or 400's. I am also looking at Marvin, Kolbe, and Sierra Pacific.
I wonder when large window manufacturers like Andersen are going to start doing triple pane tilt turn European style windows. Would really help bring the costs down. In EU one can get a tilt turn triple pane for about the same price of what a double pane double hung costs here :(
Ask them why they promote spam email. I get fairly constant spam from what must be commissioned resellers of their windows, naming them by brand. I'd pretty much never consider any product from them as a result.
Ohhh..it was a vid of two talking heads in a ware house pointing and talking with sticks in their hands...no maching? lathes? ........? two guys tawkin.... :(
