Haha I feel like it is worth noting that you pick dorm rooms by lottery. You don't pay extra for a certain room -- we just so happened to be the only group of 10 that wanted this suite.
Ah yes the 20,000 dollar package that comes with a 10x10 cinderblock room complete with a tiny bunkbed in the corner, and a communal bathroom/shower for when you want to remind yourself how much youre being ripped off 😂
Ivy schools are know for taken bribes to accept students. There are some bias like a family member donates something to the school. So the school gladly accepts the relative of the person who donated application which is a form of bribery. Sometimes purposefully leave excellent student because of their race. Harvard has a lot of Asian applicants each year who all perform well throughout high school. But few are chosen because they want diversity on their campuses. I’m not saying this person could be one of those, but due to the reputation of these schools I can see why people are judgemental
@@professoralexburnerofstone They meet 100% of financial need. Unless you’re rich, the majority of the costs will be covered. All it takes is a simple Google search query! You’d be surprised how many non-elite private colleges charge similar pricing, but you’d probably know this.
His entire channel is dedicated to college life and admissions. Of course he’s gonna talk about his experience at Harvard for a majority of the videos.
My college did the exact opposite, they kicked out everyone that was not a freshman to make room for them. They did endless tours and stuff to get more kids to apply so they could get their money even though there is no room left 😒
my dorm at portland state before i transferred out (terrible school) was a single with a personal bathroom, kitchen, and plenty of natural light for ~$1000 a month. broadway’s dorms were like the one good part of that place. respectfully if harvard wants to charge this much they need to step up their game and rip out that sad blue carpet, insane that it’s one of the top schools in the world and they’re making 10 students share 3 bathrooms.
i finished 8th, i cant wait for high school, i really wanna go to a good college and make my mother proud, i just need to study and get my act right cause i was sloppy asf last year
One of my uncles got into Harvard but ended up not going to college at all. He said it was a waste of time and around in his 30s he become a self-made multi millionaire. He did have regular jobs for like 10-20 years and there was a lotta work he put into it but the point is even if y’all don’t get into one of these expensive colleges it doesn’t really matter
@@chromaticsoundco.7664the one of the most prestigious schools in the world racking up billions for decades with reputation spread out across the globe. And thier best facility has only big rooms and 3 bathrooms?
Nothing fun about Debt and abusing drugs. Moderation is fine, but most college’s are a joke in the US. Overpriced and full of overly sensitive children who never learn to grow up.
My old dorm room was in the basement, had no windows or AC, and it was probably a solid 85°F all year around, despite it snowing for literally half the year; this was coupled with bug infestations and a roof that rained dust particles all day. Truly made my freshman year miserable.
Watched an old shorts and Mahad said he wanted some wall decoration ideas so here we go: - quotes or reminders to yourself which can either serve as motivation or something important to you. An example of this would be a quote by Martin Luther king jr. - an award certificate from high school or recent years. - If you’re in any fandoms, you could put up posters for them :) - Polaroids or pictures with your friends, family, or people important to you. These are pretty general, but I thought I’d share them anyway. Hope this helps!
