The game is not even near a bronze standard as it stands currently. Two things need some real work to make this a contender. First, the handling of the carts themselves - which is totally flat - no real acceleration (just on/off), no weight to the Karts. No comparison to the feel of the karts in any other competent Kart Racer. Secondly, the track layout lacks imagination - just very rudimentary flat tracks (although they recently did add some very simple elevation to the circuits recently) Again, compare the tracks here to the tracks on Mario Karts, Sonic Racer etc. I get it that this is not a big studio and that they do not have Nintendo cash behind them, but imagination does not cost that much. I (or anyone else) could grab a pen and paper and sketch out a more interesting track in a coffee break I think. Everything else is solid enough and with this amount of potential improvement, there is a lot that the devs can do to make this a worthwhile title. However, with other Kart Titles coming up (i.e. Dash, Dash World) - I think it may be worth holding back a while on this one.
Great game but waaaaaaaay too short tracks, they make the tracks longer and we got a very amazing game in VR but they better hurry before dash dash comes out
I played with index controls, with the joystick on one hand and the other hand free. I wish you could control it by holding onto the wheel like in LA Noire.
I've been asking for a "Mario Kart VR" typed experience for years now. Upon seeing this review, I immediately spent the $20 and purchased it for myself. I will be returning it promptly. 1. No Online Players (Yet, but still, there was not a single other player online) 2. I've never once had motion sickness in VR until playing this game. I speculate this will only be playable on a valve index, with its 140hz display. 90hz isn't quick enough for this speed of racing. What a shame. I lasted only 3 races. 3. Even drifting in this game requires the accelerator to be pressed down. This means you will be squeezing the trigger of your VR remote for the entire race. I know this "S o u n d s" like a minor, naggy complaint- but it really isn't comfortable after multiple races, ESPECIALLY if you use motion controls to steer. Even if points 1 and 3 were instantly remedied, I'd still be requesting my 20 bucks back over the motion aspect alone. That can't be overlooked.

I am not prone to motion sickness, I have been gaming exclusively in VR for about 2 years now. I think this game is very close to being the best racing game in VR, but the current motion sickness it induces is all that is stopping me from continuing with it. For what its worth, the game "Stand Out" contains full-speed driving which has never induced motion sickness. I'm not sure exactly how they've accomplished this, but perhaps its worth studying/looking into. I really appreciate that you folks are reading comments and working on the game, I am confident that if the motion issue is solved you will see a massive surge of players.

We have included a lot of little tricks to achieve this such as that the camera view does not tilt with a car. For those people who at any given time may feel dizzy we are the only game that has dedicated a view specifically designed to prevent dizziness.
