What a magnificent house. I believe the Martin complex was Wright's largest residential commission. I'm so pleased they restored the whole complex to it's original beauty. I love those machined fumed oak beams just under the floating ceiling in the library, living room and dining room. Those Wisteria, Chevron and Tree of Life art glass windows are so beautiful. That gold leaf tile mosaic on the dual sided fireplace is unbelievable. I believe the original mosaic was done by the Giannini company of Chicago. I read that Mr. Martin was a major bibliophile and that's why you see book storage cabinets in all the pier clusters throughout the house. That art glass skylight next to the veranda porch is pretty spectacular as well. I hope Mr. Martin is looking down from heaven smiling from how beautifully they restored his magnificent home.

Even the surrounding neighborhood is pretty spectacular! The neighbor's consolation is being able to see FLW's masterpiece from their windows.

Is the Gardner's Cottage still a residence? What about the Barton House? I was in Buffalo in 1999 and little had been done to the main house. which was surrounded by a chain-link fence.We had walked there from downtown, but we couldn’t go inside. Thank you so much for posting this tour. (Your background music was a bit loud in comparison with the voices. I think some music from around the time the home was built would have been enjoyable.)

Had not seen this since 1987. Wow, what a change both in size and restoration; it's beautiful. Glad they undertook the completion. The Pergola was just a chopped off stub before from the demolition and you had these ugly Apartments and a parking lot. Will have to come see it again. I remember his homes had very low ceilings and I'm 6' 3" so had to watch myself in certain rooms . Falling Water in PA was another great creation of his and again low ceilings and that huge cast iron cauldron that swings over the fireplace. Thanks for the video.
