In today’s video of ZillowGoneWild, we will be exploring the most expensive house ever listed in Dubai selling for a whopping $204,000,000. The home goes by the name “The Marble Palace”, with inspiration from mansions built during the Belle Epoque period in Paris. With over 70,000 square feet of land and an additional 60,000 square feet of built-up space, this mega mansion is one of the largest properties in Dubai. Located in Emirates Hills, which is often described as the Beverley Hills of Dubai, the home has 5 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms,12 staff rooms, and 2 bank vaults.
Walking inside The Marble Palace you will immediately notice a lavish hallway covered in sheets of gold, white marble, and classical pattern designs. In total, the house was made with 700,000 sheets of gold leaf gilding that were applied by 70 artists over a period of nine months. Going up the stairs you will notice just how many bronze statues are put on display in this main area. And above the stairs, you will see one of the most stunning stained-glass domes you ever find in a house. This Parisian-style dome is 9 meters in diameter and was hand-carved with stain glass by 17 French Artists from the studio France Vitral International. In total, this one dome took 2 and a half years to complete, but it’s not hard to see why. Walking down the hallway it truly feels like the interior of a Versailles Castle in France.
In the living room area, there are two chandeliers covered in gold, antique-styled furniture, and a full-sized gold statue in the corner. There is also an 80,000-gallon coral reef aquarium behind a set of glass that offers the room some contrast from the white and gold. The coral has been growing for 18 months and is something unique you don’t see every day.
