I promise you that local business owners do not share this feeling. I don’t understand how so many of you pellet in the comments don’t understand that Miami needs tourism.
@@senortres-pata4917 there are plenty of civilized tourists who are ok with not getting plastered and going in at the 11:59 curfew; trust Miami will be fine after this sir
@@user-jx8dk9lo3u that’s great but this comment didn’t specify “civilized tourist” it seemed to say that they don’t want ANY tourist back. I’m sure Miami will be fine. But like I said, lots of people and businesses thrive off tourism so it’s necessary. The day the tourist don’t come back, Miami will be in a bad spot.
Tourists from up north (black or white) are usually more sophisticated than the local youth coming over from inner city Miami. It's a shame the tourists are treated this way because of a few bad apples. But, seeing that the majority of these tourists are black, they are treated like 2nd class citizens because Miami Beach politicians are racist.
@@edwinvalenzuela3446 You’re ignorant and racist that’s why you only named the black communities.Latin Kings,Folk Nation, Queens Nation,Miami Mafia (Italian Gang)M-S 13 gang and the list goes on non African American
i don't think these are the kind of tourists we want at any expense. Until you've seen innocent victims laying in a pool of blood on south beach a place where your suppose to have fun in the sun nobody really quit understands.
Millions of people have fun and memorable vacations with their friends and family without having to be an out of control drunk. I'm not from Miami but good on the city leaders from saying enough is enough.
Why don’t you tell that same thing to the liquor store owners that are losing their livelihoods and most of their sales but I guess you like the government having control of everything that’s why even more people drink without causing issues
@@aaronlimitless Nobody gives a sh*t if the liquor owners loses a couple of dollars. How about safety? You want people shot, stabbed, and rapped? You want drugs, pimps and prostitutes so that the local liquor owner can have extra cash in his pocket. This is not about the gov. You are reaching.
@@aaronlimitless I like to have a drink without anarchy running rampant, without the possibility of getting shot or having to witness a brawl, without the pestilent odor of weed filling my lungs on every half block.
@@aaronlimitless I feel for the business owners. Everyone pays for the behavior of idiots. The city didn't want to do this. They did what they had to do for law and order.
Soo the folks who created the story called them spring breakers. That was a label given to them. The people the news casters are interviewing could simply be on vacation . I would guess the people commenting about the "spring breakers" employment, education and extracurricular activities may lack the ability to think critically about the way news stories are constructed. Surely a college education could have helped in that area.
Go to your local ABC and get some liquor, or buy beer at any location at your nearest convenience. Then go back to your hotel and get as drunk as you like. Until you stop shooting each other, this is what adults refer to as consequences.
That’s the type of tourist we don’t want. You can’t afford liquor at the bar so you have to loiter on the street with an open container? Just stay home.
@Proud Liberal Democrat Fascist Give me your money I get the stereotype and its funny to a point then somehow you take it way overboard and inject hate.
City and State officials go out of their way to attract tourists since it generates lots of revenue. It would take some extreme reason not to want tourist. Now they have reason not to want tourist. . It's more than justified. It's a gorgeous area, The residents are the victims here.
@@jones2277 Yeah, it's true, they actually showed the stats. Nearly 598 arrests were from FL, and the rest like around 107 arrests were outsiders. But you see, the 107 is alot when you consider in just over a few days.
It’s not just the tourists, it’s the crowd in general. Tourists and Residents, it’s not the majority of the residents of Miami but it only takes a few bad eggs to make the whole place smell rotten. So far the extreme crimes that have been reported by the news such as murder, have been largely caused by tourists, but other types of crimes including walking with an open container, illegal possession of weapons, intentions to harm, and disrupting the peace or destroying business property have been identified largely within the residential community.
The reason they did that is because they had shootings in that area . I live in Miami and people come from out of town and act like fools . Until people know how to act I think they should have this cerfew in place for every spring break. Locals leave the area it’s a awful time to be in that area.
We tell y'all certain ethnicity group tourist don't spend y'all money, where your not welcomed. Especially on Miami Beach. Luther Campbell even told y'all don't go to Miami Beach.
@@ricksaunders3889 when I speak on this matter, they say I'm a RACIST. But my Ancestors had to show a special card for them to go over the bridge. To scrub toilets, wash clothes by hand, cook, clean and etc. Then people say I'm a Racist.
Gianni Versace. Rip. He would bring the models the rockstars and the celebrities to south beach. What a glamorous time south beach in the 90s was. Now we have these types.
Wow it's going to be a huge block party. Those people know there's not enough Cruisers ,not enough police ,and definitely not enough holding spaces for the amount of people that are in Miami. Peace to all. The owners are loosing bank 🏦
I love Miami, and I continue to come every year, during the Summer, for my personal vacation, and I have NEVER had any problems there, l will just make sure 🚫 NOT to go during March...at all ☺️..... it's as much about timing as well as people too....
could not care less about Miami Beach do not miss being down there , but if the stupid tourists do not like the new rules in the light of what had happened they can always leave simple
atp I can't even get to school or to my house bc tourists think its cute to trash everything. Its j unbearable my schools fb coach got his car windows shattered on the way home bc spring breakers decided to get "turnt." SMFH
They're getting it twisted one minute they say it's not the spring breakers it's the people that actually live in Miami that's acting a fool. So which is it?
Like I stated before this a good thing .... now maybe in a couple years or so Spring Breaks will actually be safe again! Gotta learn from your mistakes and this is Definitely a really good lesson learned.
Good riddance ! I’m ecstatic that all these ppl are not planing on returning,It’s about time Miami takes control of these destructive & reckless tourists.
lol i think thats what the curfew was aiming for they dont want spring break there anymore people are shooting and violent now even if it was one instance or so thats all it takes partys over folks lol
The problem is not the Tourist causing the trouble its the locals . and the CITY OF Miami knows it. 75% of all the arrest during spring break this year are locals not Tourist. There are none of these problems north or south of Miami. Sounds to me there needs to be all new city counsel that can actually handel there job.
