If a Ugandan tourist asked me about local vegetables... Well, I wouldn't have had a clue if they know or have carrots in Uganda. It's not like they're showing them on the telly very often...
@@RoyalFlushFan carrots are ubiquitous, they grow on every continent. Small children learn about carrots from children’s books and such. So… I don’t follow. But good job trying to stick up for someone you will never meet
@@frisc0strangler207 If not for children’s books, one can look it up on Wikipedia. Call me naive, but I wouldn’t have known otherwise. Nor do I expect every random Ugandan I come across to know.
Wow am so happy that your in Kampala our country uganda may you have a good tour I've watched your videos of the cities in the uk thanks for the great job.
I love how these people are so chill. Just regular folks trying to live their lives the best they can with the hand they've been dealt. Do most of them know some English? Seems like it from your encounters.
@@hjelpen5387 English became more common after colonisation ended. Uganda is just a really diverse country, and most cities outside of Kampala don't speak Luganda, they speak Swahili and other languages. So English works well as a lingua franca.
Sounds like you are enjoying yourself there - the locals are very pleasant, crazy how well-received you guys were in the heart of Kampala. Night and day between Uganda and other countries on the continent, I wish them the best.
Thanks for showing us what life is like in Uganda. I'm more than happy to see that the locals seem to be enjoying their lives and are very friendly, hope their living conditions can be improved as well, they deserve better.
I lived for a summer in a house close enough to Kabaka’s Palace to walk there every day. Kampala is a lovely city and I miss it every day. Uganda is Africa’s best.
Thx for the content Ben. i follow both you and bald, and It's nice to see that you are in Uganda! I know it's not your profile to do typical touristic stuff...but you guys should go to Queen Victoria National Park. I went there myself, and hired a guy with a regular car...so it wasnt your regular safari with your 4x4 car and local guides...we visited a hostel in the middle of the national park, where they had experienced having lions on the sofas, cause they had walked in! Scary stuff! it will be great content! In addition, another tip is to take the public bus from Kampala to Kabale, in order to do the Gorila trek...or take a local long distance bus from anywhere to anywhere...its a adventure in itself! :)
Excellent, thanks Ben! Even though the bike taxis looked sketchy, I bet you need them to get through traffic like that. In a car (without airconditioning) it would probably be a nightmare.
I can't wait to see more of Uganda and your room kicks the shit out of Mr Balds room with a mosquito net with holes in it and you got a balcony ! just wonder did you and Mr Bald have beers on the balcony ? Thank You Ben and i cant wait for the next one
🎉🎉🎉 Hi 👋🏼 Mr. Benjamin Thank you for taking me to so many places that I know I would never travel to. Keep safe and healthy,Blessings,Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊🇺🇸 Btw, it seems like most of the people there are very friendly.
Bro you look so happy away from England , much more fun than paying insane money for train ticket and away from the miserable weather. Great content..was wondering how long I would have to wait more before seeing you and bald again. Nice one mate all the best 👊
Come one guys, grasshoppers are such a delicacy around here. So crunchy and healthy stuff. They are actually so expensive because the demand is too high. I agree with Ben that is was indeed a well thought out birthday gift. Enjoy!
Those bikes are known in Kenya as Boda Boda, which originally came from the bicycles that carried passengers and goods from Kenya border to Uganda border which is separated by a river, hence Boda boda. !!
❤ love the video and never before seen this country before I love that you work with bald and bankrupt happy birthday to him you guys work great together next time just buy him a drink for his birthday he loves beer from his videos❤❤ stay safe !!!!
Ben you were right about Wayne Doodny being great as Argyle head coach ! They can’t get none pasty ⚽️ . I’m hoping Colleen will love living in Salcombe . Apart from that love the vlogs as usual ❤
Be super careful, mate. I know someone from the UK who died in an accident on a motorbike taxi abroad. It can happen to anyone. Wear a lid. Don't be a hero.
Well that’s Uganda ticked off, thanks Ben! Was going for a few weeks in August but have cancelled it and booked a few days at the Blue Dolphin instead.
Great content as always Ben. Nice to see bald 👨🦲 hanging with you. BTW I like the cameo of Caterina. 😅 When is she going to travel again with you? stay safe.
