On tv i saw the tourists go home and sprayed with water via water pistols- this upset me so i decided to ask people their thoughts in #alcudia old town on Market Day!!
Thanks Andrew - Unfortunately it is happening all over Spain both mainland and the islands. After 25 years of owning a property in Mallorca we're selling up. Post-Brexit, high taxes, high prices, poor weather and now the protests. Such a shame.
@@JCPhotographyMallorca there was protests at that time too... probably will be until this small minority of people get there way, which they won't! All they want to achieve is affordable housing for residents, stopping illegal lettings... I agree with that too.
@@lovinglifemallorca like you said at the end it’s all to do with the housing problems here. Defiantly never want it to go back to covid that was a horrible time.
I am the a good evening from Kevin and Ivan from Manchester with us to watching a few your videos first time on the set stayed at the Belle Vue on the apartment there beaches beautiful nightlife down the stripper the evening of the little Bridge where the artist paint your face or pictures for the children give my regards from Kevin Elvis from Manchester❤❤😅😊
@@lovinglifemallorca 🤣🤣 No was there last week, although I didn’t notice any “tourists go home “ activity, I did notice that the hotel wasn’t full and a lot of people were on three , four day breaks which I found unusual.
@@happybunny8704 that's a shame, you mean the tourist tax. Us residents pay that too if we stay in a hotel on the island. 3.80 a pint , 3.25 for a glass of wine, cheaper than UK.
@@kerrysmith1015 Yes the sunshine tax it was originally called unfortunately I was charged 10 euros for a gin and tonic in the hotel I was in a glass of wine was a 5
Hi Andrew love watching your channel it's brilliant we've been over to cala bona in may this year no problems with anti tourism at all been coming to Majorca for 20 years ❤
We’re coming to Alcudia for the first time in September and discovered your channel, thanks for your great walk about video’s, very useful, you even walked passed the hotel we’re staying at. And thanks for putting our mind at rest about these issues
@@stripey_nigel Alcudia is known as mossie ally ..if it’s your first time please do a bit of research on prevention and protection it can ruin your holiday if not prepared ..
My parents remember Mallorca in the 60s and early 70s (under the General)...I'm surprised such a small minority want to go back there, I guess they'd have to leave the EU to stop legal migration. It appears Portugal is regretting its digital nomad visa system with increased property and rental prices...and Mallorca's just started doing their own digital nomad visas...
The airport of Mallorca is a disaster. Organization is not efficient. Airport itself not modern. Spain should have the money to give that airport a huge upgrade. Specially with all the tourist money. Mallorca itself is great. People are ok not too nice not too rude.
