We say it a lot, but this day truly was one of the best of all time... joining in on an adventure, and filming with ‪@BecomingFilipino‬. Kyle, Kumar and Jandee took us to try out some new filipino foods, and a some filipino island hopping over to Poo Sandbar. The local vibe was truly amazing!

Shannon used the term copra. My father and us lived in PNG years ogo and the name was used then. Referring to coconut. Did he live there also?

No he didn’t live there, but Emma’s Dad was born there! I think Filipinos also call it Copra?

patpat, flat fish. wow that is my first time to see and to know that it exists there. i only saw the mature sizes ready in a chinese supermarket "aquarium"...you and shannon should enjoy knowing life is less complicated in the islands and with enough funds and good company it's worth staying as well. cheers! Haha, yes that’s a problem, Shannon always brings his drum sticks but always gives them away very early on our trips. He does still get up and play every so often, is that something you want to see more of?

Copra fire is very difficult to put out, you need foam, etc and not water.

We were very glad that it was not somebody’s house! But once we knew it was Copra it made sense that there was no one trying to fight the fire with water.

@@travellingsticks If you douse it with water, the burning oil will float over the water and the fire could spread.
