@@lubrew5862 The two aren't mutually exclusive. He's an actor who did repo work to pay his bills because the acting doesn't actually do that for most people. Of course he's gonna say he was just acting after seeing the backlash - but do you really think Donut would've brought him on if he was "just" an actor?
well hes straight up an "actor" and not a repo guy. im not sure if he tricked donut into thinking hes for real, or if donut is just gross. good chance at either honestly.
The Repo Man episode: James: "What else can Repo Man get away with?" November: "Murder." James: "....you've said that a LOT. I'm starting to get uncomfortable."
I gotta admit. Having the toy cars is a genuinely brilliant idea. While not super-detailed, the visual aid helps so much for some of their descriptions.
@@Daveeeeeeyhowyoudoing he didn't say he wasn't a tow truck driver. He said he's a part time actor and is also a tow truck driver. Like 99% of actors have other jobs. That doesn't mean November isn't acting/hamming it up for the camera, but based on his social media presence he totally seems like a sketchy dude.
What November said about fish tailing is one of the most dangerous things you can do, you never want to hit the brakes unless you're for sure either going to hit someone or something dangerous. Either give it gas and straighten out the trailer or let off the gas and lightly keep the wheel to keep the car forward
If you have a trailer brake controller, you want to apply the trailer brakes (and ONLY the trailer brakes). This will cause the trailer to straighten out behind you.
@@WowezzersdozzersNever throttle out, when your rig is fish tailing than because it is unstable at a specific speed, because of swinging at a resonance. If you accelarate you might get out of the resonance are, but a tow rig gets more unstable the faster you drive, also at some point you have to slow down and you will be at that specific speed again. Slowing down will more likly work if done early enough, also think about what if throttling out doesnt work you will crash at a higher speed than before.
I used to have a focus. That being said, I’ve been in my share of tow trucks. Almost every tow truck driver I’ve met would’ve been a better choice than “November”. He’s a fedora away from being a Reddit mod.
@edgyshizzle1914 you do know cars break down and need a tow right? Especially a ford focus, so you should buy one when you turn 18 as your first car kiddo. Now run along sport, mom bought a fresh pack of tide pods for lunch
I love how November says he has to go by an alias to protect himself because of the repo industry and then goes on a massive RU-vid channel and tells everybody he acted in a movie therefore outing his real identity. 😂☠️
yea i bet the tow truck driver on site was about to do that until the firefighter stopped him and told him to tow it out.. that wall falling while the car was being pulled out was the best case scenario, better it fall then than on the ppl trying to push it out OR the owner the next day trying to inspect the damage OR some inexperience contractor trying to fix it...
November is an expert, so when he says that he would put a load of people exactly where he already knows with hindsight that a massive wall is going to fall, we should definitely all take his advise, we should make him a presenter, he's just so knowledgeable. 😂🖖🏼
November is the type of guy who acts like he grew up and started repo'ing vehicles in the hood and therefore needs an alias but in reality he is severely overestimating how much danger he was actually in
My dad has been a semi-truck drive for 40 years+ and I have heard and seen so epic stuff involving tow recovery. Favorite was the unloading crane at a dock that lifted an entire tracker trailer and its load out of a ditch like it was nothing. The funny part was beforehand when the crane operator said, "It will only take me 10 minutes to un-mess this up, but it's $2500 up front for me to turn this thing on."
Said it last episode and people commented saying no "hes weal he has an instagwam pwage" as if that makes people legit. So fake... I've never loathed someone so much for no othere reason than them being so blatantly fake... Dude is like a characature of what he thinks a repo man should be.
The video where the car used the tow truck as a ramp happened on a major highway near my hometown. The woman in the car that went airborne was texting and driving and not wearing her seat belt. She was thrown into the back seat and taken to the hospital in critical condition. She survived though. She was a Florida driver on a Georgia road.
You can’t be that stupid… you push the car from inside, don’t pull the car from outside. Push the car from inside and let the brick 🧱 fall, because the bricks are falling from the outer part of the wall.
Why is every comment about him lol He didn't seem to be much different than any other guest other than the weird alias, I feel like I missed some lore on him
First clip, the Beetle hitting the parked cars was in London. The Beetle was being stolen by a thief who had worked out that by using a tow truck, he could lift cars from the roadside in plain sight and nobody would ask any questions. That's why the steering wasn't locked or straight, he hadn't gained access to the car..
@@MiDnYTe25 no I seen that one I just gave 👍 in hopes that they would realize how horrible this clown is and not bring him back! But yeah your right that repo one was worse
Yeah I agree. Having people push the car out of the wall and be crushed by 50 tons of solid brick would definitely be the ideal way to fix that situation. Hopefully they have iPhones and cash!
5:07 that car ramping off the back of that flatbed, the driver was a 21-year-old female driver who was distracted if I remember correctly. The driver survived but with serious injuries.
I saw Matthew Match Ray, the actor playing November, and immediately unsubscribed. If they fake their content and never own it, I do not want to watch Donut content.
Then he'd order an expensive meal, enjoy it, and claim "Gotta use the shitter, I'll be back," and dine-and-dash, leaving his date holding the check for both meals.
@@duckseverywhere8119then they could claim they leaked the next project. Perfect marketing and source for conspiracy. Everyone will be looking for a vehicle in the background for the bike to see what comes after.
I used to Design boat trailers and I can tell you that there are a lot of things that can go wrong. Common issue in the clip is that the trailer did not have enough tongue weight. Either they didn't pull the transom plug to drain the water, or the axles on the trailer are not located right for the boat's position on the trailer.
I have personally been in the same situation as the second clip @ 1:25 , I was the passenger. We eventually were turned completely around 180 degrees. We did not have trailer brakes, we loaded our trailer incorrectly by putting too much weight behind the trailer axles which amplified the leverage, thankfully our load was properly secured and we didn't hit a single thing despite being surrounded by traffic going 60-70mph. Please learn from our mistake, properly maintain your vehicles and follow the basics when hauling a trailer.
I live near the border in Arizona and I see those convoy trucks all the time and always ask DPS officers how they let that happen but me as a trucker I get a ticket for anything I do wrong
Jumping the tow truck brings up a valid point of "Target fixation" "Basically, when they perceived something as distracting or dangerous, they became so focused on avoiding it they actually steered into it or into other dangers they failed to notice. Panic can make riders lock their gaze on one object, and their vehicle follows the same path as their gaze."
It is super annoying with these new tow rigs and police cars with the *extremely* bright light bars, but if it gets you noticed in these instances it is a good thing. As long as it does not enhance target fixation.
Since the first video with that actor I've been wondering the same, I made sure to tell YT not to suggest Donuts videos any more and was waiting on how they'd communicate about this November character to see if I'd do the same with the Real Mechanic Stuff channel. They didn't say anything despite the comments being all over the fact he's an actor. So Real Mechanic Stuff is out of my YT suggestions as well. I guess I'll miss Sandro and Angelina as their content was fun but I'm not giving another view to donuts and co...
I'm exclusively liking comments that call it out. Donut needs to address it or delete any remaining footage. Not addressing it and deleting comments is lying by omission.
@@LeapFrog_Radio Or maybe, just maybe, acting is not a full time job for the majority of actors and they still need a 9-5 to be able to put food on the table.
I remember my undergrad professor shared his own experience of a wobbly rear end because he put a lot of big rocks in his trunk when he was teaching this kind of system. He said that you shouldn't correct that and just let it die down or you can easily get into a big crash.
you should accelerate out of speed wobbles. Wobbles happen because the trailer is "pushing" ahead of you. Basically the weight is pushing against the hitch which causes it to wobble. The trailer is going faster than the vehicle pulling it. By accelerating you pull the hitch forward and it corrects the weight balance. Then you should decelerate very, very slowly. Then pull over and fix the weight distribution on the trailer.
The second video (mega sway) is caused by the trailer trying to go faster than the truck. That’s the number one thing that causes trailer sway, especially downhill. The best way to correct it off the gas, use trailer brakes (preferably only the trailer brakes if you can apply just then gently) and the trailer only will slow, which then will cause the truck to straighten out. The other option that works is actually to accelerate the tow vehicle so it is pulling the trailer again. But this is not recommended as you fix the problem (sway) but not the cause (trailer going faster than tow vehicle)
Yea had this happen ( not as bad tho) with a work trailer on a downhill dirt road. Lightly applied the trailer brakes and it straightened right out. Had it start to happen when weight shifted in a camping trailer as well, this didn’t have brakes I just stepped on the gas then slowly slowed it down and moved somethings around in the trailer
After reading comments and seeing November is actually an actor (to protect the identity of the real person I assume), I don't like him. I didn't like him in the other episode either. I'm 30 seconds into this video and he's already wrong, he said the arm on the back is broken and its just swinging the car around. The wheels on the car aren't straight so it keeps bringing the car to the side. That's what I came here to say then found out that the guy in the video is an actor so he's either making it up which is stupid or the real guy said that which makes him stupid.
Many years ago, my father and I drove a u-haul truck from Florida to New Jersey with furniture and I was constantly aware of the clearance of the truck and looking out for every posted clearance sign to make sure we didn’t hit anything.
I've driven my fair share of box trucks (the one that's on top of the flatbed around 12min) and really don't get the hate. I mean yeah, they're big and not exactly fun, but for their size/weight every one I've driven has been pretty easy and comfortable. More comfortable than my daily sometimes, which I get considering how expensive they are.
Video number 2. Tap the gas get some pressure on the hitch to straighten out and then leave the brakes alone and slow down by down shifting by manually going to 3rd (or 2nd if there’s no 3rd on the lever) brakes don’t help on a downhill slope if you have too much weight
this. no brakes for this, ever. she'll jacknife and kill you dead. Little gas, get her straight, downshift, gas, downshift, gas, downshift, gas, let her roll out to a stop.
It depends on the weight distribution, for this it looks like it might work, but if you did a bad job loading things up, hitting on the gas might make the problem worse
“The best way to recover from a situation like this is just to not get in a situation like this.” Is a prime example of trying to act smart when it’s not your job to be.
I saw those trucks @11:44 broken down at a rest stop in South Texas. They had to disconnect and drive one at a time after that, this must've been at the start of their journey!
It has no credibility left. Its pretty clear they will do anything to generate content, including lying to the viewers. This is all scripted and I don't believe any of it is real.
I had a trailer do the fishtail with me once. I was pulling a single axle with circa 4k of logs on it with a Ranger. Thankfully I knew it was sketchy and was taking back roads. I crested a hill doing about 45mph and it pushed me up around 50mph and that's when things got exciting. I took both sides of the road but I got it back under control and slowed back down. I took fewer logs on the next trip.
Idk if they shot this within a few days after the first tow truck driver video. If not, they haven't listened to their audience. There was an overwhelming amount of comments saying they don't want November in this channel. But here we are.
I guarantee that would be a whole lot less “entertaining” and a whole lot more “depressing.” The EMT’s I know have some awful stories about motor accidents. Like gut wrenching stories about peeling people off the asphalt.
November seems like the kinda guy that was asked “are you a tow truck driver” and he said yes and is just making it up as he goes. Nobody likes “November”
"November" is an actor who does repo sometimes. In "November's" own words, "I'm trying to show the underside of a terrible industry I had the great displeasure of working in." "I was reacting like a good portion of the dudes I worked with." I don't agree with his methods but maybe this will help understand why he acts like this. Hi again, Matthew
2:15 the guys are right it is overweight, but what causes the fishtail is having too much behind the trailer axles. You can can be towing within the limits of the truck, but that can still happen. My wife's uncle was towing a 8 ft long trailer with axles that were exactly midways of the trailer, but he was hauling lumber that was 10 feet long, and he broke down with his S-10 Blazer. Someone else towed the Blazer, but I pulled the trailer in a full size Tahoe and even at 40-45 mph it would still start fishtailing. One thing I will disagree with on how to stop the fishtailing is hitting the truck brakes or putting it in neutral. If you have trailer brakes, use the lever to engage them. This pulls the trailer wheels away from the tow vehicle and helps you get straight again. If you hit the truck brakes hard enough while the trailer is swinging, that can make it worse and the trailer can pass the truck and cause a wreck.
Glad to see how blindly united a lot of the donut community can be when it comes to adoring or hating a guest. Makes me feel a lot better about myself. Like what the heck did November do? Comment?
Apparently people think he isn't a real tow truck driver. Because he is also a half assed actor. People don't realize people can have multiple jobs or hobbies on the side as well as their job.
First video he said the boom was broken, but it wasn’t, it was the wheels being turned. The other video he said instead of pulling the car with the winch, he would’ve had people push the car out where the brick wall fell. All horrible decisions to make even with the advantage of hindsight.
From 04 to 07 I drove a flat bed Tow Truck in Orlando Fl. We hauled for Hertz, The Post Office and a National auto delivery company, The most Dangerous Job I ever had!, I kept my Guardian Angels very busy those Years! 😇
For the person who ramped off the truck, the scene had nothing to protect the truck, or warn drivers. It's potentially the fault of the driver for not marking with flairs or cones
So November uses an alias to keep his identity secret for security reasons and then his ego gets the better of him and so he tells everyone he was in a movie and then gives the title of the movie as well just in case we might doubt the fact that he is such a cool dude.
TBH, I unsubscribed when I saw he was back. Any channel that will try to fake it with an actor twice and never take accountability will do it again. Most of the "professionals" on here are probably actors reading from a script.
A wiggle wagon trailer is usually caused by too much weight at the back of the trailer. Not necessarily being overloaded. I was a truck driver for over 20 years seen plenty of accidents caused this way.
Yeah, yeah it was. The U-haul trailers are rated to 5290 lbs in and of themselves (according to the sticker) and then you get to the 6000lbs for the early 2000's chevy 2500 dually. Add to that the anti-sway bars are not present / working (Didn't spend another $100.00 to rent the hitch). So what was actually overloaded here wasn't the truck towing, it was the trailer. Small amount of the tail wagging the dog getting amplified by the trailers leafs combined with the driver trying to correct the effect but not accounting for the lag in weight shift. Edit: Another point is most U haul car transports don't / didn't have trailer brakes. Flat 4 connectors on the wiring and bottom shelf axles. All the way through the mid 2010s if your rig had a round 7 connector, you'd have to buy / rent the adapter. Had this trailer had trailer brakes, the slap would have shimmied towards straight every time the driver touched the pedal.
Don't worry, he's just an actor. His presence is actually what made me realize that everything on this channel is scripted and fake. His real name is Matthew Match Ray.
