I won’t lie, I have been looking for a guide to this song for a few days now. Really been stressing me out, new to the whole guitar playing scene and all. The song made me tear up first time I really gave it a listen, knew I had to learn it. I can’t begin to explain how happy it makes me that I found your video, man. Thank you

You're welcome. Consider the value for value model with some support! But totally agree. Great songwriter and really wonderful picker. You can tell the guy really lived in the guitar for a while.

Thanks, I always expect that I'm supposed to learn things alot quicker and set songs aside when they are not completely finished. Your emphasise on time was a very importat message for guys like me to understand. I never repeat things 30 times but the more I stop to learn the little things yhe better my quitar sounds!

It's a very simple concept to understand, but hard hard hard to implement and put into practice. But it's true, we've got to LEARN something first, otherwise we're just practcing it unlearned, and clumsy.

Welcome aboard! Thanks, man. I appreciate the comment. Been teaching for 20 years so I'm glad to hear when the enterprise bears fruit. Sub, like, share and consider the value for value model with monthly support. But please let me know how I can help ya on the pickin' journey. What songs next? Any concepts I could break down for ya, etc....

@@MikesMusicMethod I appreciate you taking time to read all the comments. I'd definitely like to do what little I can to show financial support for your channel. The Guy Clark song Out in the Parking lot has always been one I've wanted to play, I'm very much a beginner though so would that be too difficult? Also the picking style on his song My favorite picture of you always struck me as something different. Thank you again for what you do!

Hi mike, great video. I’m trying to make my own channel for some basic stuff. Do you mind telling me what you have a camera and microphone? You have a very nice setup.

Good luck, Joel. Under this name? I'd be happy to sub and maybe do a collab in the future to get your channel some hits. I have a Logi C920. Highly recommend it. Adjustable and really easy to clamp onto things, i use a free and generic "camera settings app" to tweak the settings (widescreen, turn off auto focus and auto light adjust). My mic is not the best for streaming, it's good for recording vocals but is too boomy when I'm just talking in the room to it and not right near it. So i would look elsewhere, but it's an AKG condensor C 1000 S that I got like 15 years ago. But get an audio interface, everyone speaks VERY highly of the Scarlett interface. I think they're only like 150 bucks. You probably want the 2 channel one though for guitar and mic. I dont even use an amp. I run my guitar straight into the interface I add reverb, compression, etc in post production using ableton (but any DAW would work). I edit with Imovie. I would also seriously recommend paying someone with recording/editing experience to run you through short cuts and process. it will save you MANY MANY hours! I would have been lost without an hour of help I paid some kid for. This person doesnt have to be me. ;) I'm far from a pro, but there are a handful of short cuts that will save you wasted hours. Even how to record....i try to do record one clip at a time, in a reasonably sized clip. I dont know how dudes go non-stop and dont lose track of what they already addressed. For me doing it bit by bit and making sure it goes in order and getting a good take has been essential for my work flow. Only at the end do I dump all the files into Imovie and start editing. MikesMusicMethod@gmail.com if you have more Qs, sometimes the comments get buried.

If you did June or September by Blaze Folely I think many a bluesmen on here would serenade their partners to it
@MikesMusicMethod
@MikesMusicMethod 3 года назад
hey virgil, yes. That's another solid Blaze tune. I already did Moonlight song and think that that one highlights the picking style a bit more. But i'll add it to the long long list.
