To save the stretching of your lines and catching them on the trailer … take them off and use the shunt button …just a little tip

Whenever you get into a tight situation & you think that you might damage the airlines; take them out and push in the shunt valve (black button) and the park brake together, will allow you to move the trailer. Just make sure to put all lines back in again just a tip

Most 18 tonne weight limits in London apply to the overnight truck ban. You should be ok if you go in after 7.00 in the morning and are out before 21.00.

If you are doing a roundabouts in London or any other major city where you end up with traffic on both sides just straddle both lanes. At least then you only have to worry about one side of traffic. Cars don't seem to understand that the trailer will cut in and you cannot fit into the lanes.

You were in South London, Bermondsey. I done that drop a few times. Best way in from Newton Le Willows is either without tolls M6, M42, M40, A34 south, M4, A329 south to Bracknell, A322 leaving Bracknell, M3 North, A308 to the A217 or with tolls. M6, M6 toll, M6, A14, M11, M25, A282 over the Dartford Bridge (Tunnels northbound only) then onto the A2 and follow that all the way up. NEVER take the shortest route.
@Brickhazard
@Brickhazard Год назад
Agreed 100%. I would take the latter route and go through the tolls and over the bridge. If they want me to do a crap drop in London they can pay my tolls there and charge the customer extra.
@stevecampbell7589

Should explain more about the hours of service you can drive and the laws in london for truck drivers. On my end in the United States it’s 11 hours of driving 14 hours of work service every 10 hours. 34 hour break every 70 hours of work service. You can also break up the 10 hours daily break by split shifting 8-2off and 7-3 split And does the trucks have def (diesel exhaust fluid)

I know what you mean, it’s full of duck head drivers, mopeds, cyclists, suicide pedestrians but it doesn’t stress me at all. I’m from up north too where roads are less brutal. You’ve just got to keep your eyes peeled for the things that will fine you ££ I got done in a congestion zone, I literally spun round in a side street and went back to the main road. A few weeks later a letter arrived at work 😂 If I’d of known they could’ve paid the fee moment I went in it 😂. I think I got a £105 fine or around that figure.
