As they continue to try to help the community of Otter Creek, Jeremy grows weary of the Town attempting to take money from him in ways he feels is illegal
He has begun to take a stand for the people against the inappropriate and illegal actions of the town employees & mayor
As Jeremy & George continue to open up the ARC building, they are also opening up public documents in Otter Creek
And the current mayor & town clerk don't like that light is going to expose their darkness

AND Jeremy isn't letting up on the Town that is stealing from him
BUT Mary is physically kicking him out of the town hall office (where everyone else is welcome to go)
Jeremy is pressing charges with Mary and Russ The Suss is being served in the 1st of many lawsuits
Including, shutting down Town Hall illegally and then only giving 24 hours notice for the makeup meeting

Many years ago the town I grew up in had a joint fire department with the local township. There was a big fight over the local amusement park wanting to join the city and leave the township because the township cost more or couldn’t provide what the city could. Broke up the fire department over it, the township did. I will never vote for any of those men no matter if they run for president. They put people’s lives at stake over money.

Trouble is, the previous council was 100% complacent in the mayor's debauchery by never demanding to see "the bills" before they voted to "pay the bills" and so much more. None of them have clean hands for that alone.

Wow, people everywhere need to watch this...and learn. When you clean house, sometimes it gets really messy. It can get so messy, sometimes you wish you hadn't started it at all. But it takes work, perseverance and commitment to see it to the end. When you're all done, you can sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Keep up the good work for the people of Otter Creek. I love what you’re doing for the community. I come from a small town also and it never has so much illegal activity. Our mayor and council members were all clear on results of the meeting. Many retired lawyers do continue to practice law by either keeping clients they already have, working probono.or taking on clients with simple cases. And most of them dress like this or are very dressed down. We had a lawyer when we were guardians for my brother. He was his lawyer for about 30 yrs. We needed to talk to him about something. He does not have an office so he met us at the courthouse. I was totally shocked at his appearance!! He came in with extremely short shorts on that looked like underwear! Lol! And I will not say what was actually showing!! Lol!! It was unbelievable! He had a t-shirt and sandals on with it. He looked awful and he said when they ate retired and no longer have an office they only need to dress up if they need to go to court.

I live very close to Otter Creek and have been following the current events, but I have never commented before. However, I had to congratulate the "Hudson Girls" for their spirited defense of their father and their family name. I've known these ladies since their sister, "Sissy", babysat our young daughters in the late 1980's. In 34 years of teaching in Levy County, I worked with some of them and taught some of their kids....I also taught a few of the current county commissioners... Hudson Girls, I think your Dad would be very proud of you.

Re: The minutes not being recorded. I worked for a state agency that had to hold regular meetings. No one jotted down the events of the meeting during the meeting, rather the meeting was recorded and a clerk would later listen to the recording and compile the minutes to be approved at the next meeting. So one need not have a clerk attending to minutes at the meeting so long as one will take a recording of the meeting and prepare the minutes from that. However, meetings usually also state the time that they start, go in and out of breaks or special sessions, and when they adjourn, to ensure that the times are correct in the minutes. I haven't seen that happen in these Otter Creek meetings yet.

Whoever takes the minutes, isn't there supposed to be an accountability of who makes the motions, who seconds, who says yay, who says nay, etc.? I don't see anyone recording this in any minutes book or whatever. And as Jeremy has pointed out, the Mayor is only needed to vote in account of a tie vote. And the Vet who spoke up at the end of the meeting, I'm sorry, as a vet myself, this was unwarranted and uncalled for by him. The Prejudice is rampant there in Odder Creek. This amazes me. Can't wait for tomorrow.

That’s what I was thinking. I’m sure that the minutes are to be available to the public upon request, or they should be. I’d be curious as what the previous minutes held and it doesn’t need to be a FOIA. They also need to educate themselves on the rules of parliamentary procedure.

They make a special fitting for fire hydrants that goes into the large opening. It's called the Hauze fitting. The fire trucks would have the mate to it on their hoses. It's like a quick connect.

This town charges for water. It is supposed to be SAFE, CLEAN, DRINKABLE, POTABLE WATER. By listening to the council it sounds like a bunch of kids making up rules as they go. Russ needs to be out of town politics completely, mayor council everything. The town shouldn’t be charging late fees and threatening disconnecting notices if they can’t read or bill correctly. How can they afford locks for hydrants if they can’t pay their bills? Go Jeramy. This town needs a lot of help and cleaning up 🧹.

I'm at the 24 minute mark where they are talking about the "bids" did I hear them right where they asked companies to submit bids for the work and the only response they got wasn't even a bid but basically the price to secure their services and then they would come up with a total? The free press is very important to us who established this government of "we the people" Everyone needs to do their part, get to know your neighbor, go to town meetings, talk to your Senators, Representatives, etc. There is no human government that is, will, or ever has been perfect. We all know that and that is why I love the preamble to our constitution, where it states "in order to form a more perfect union. Not a perfect union, but a "more perfect union"
