As a former townhouse owner, I know that your well-being is about your neighbors. I was unlucky and had a loud neighbor whose kids ran up and down the stairs until midnight. It was difficult to sleep. I sold mt townhouse in 1 year and bought a house instead. Of course, I have more maintenance work now with a house, but I enjoy having a private yard and not having neighbors too close 🙂
@@miscetc-tm2yt they were located beside. Yes, i will never buy a townhouse again. It depends on your lifestyle. Some people prefer townhouse and the easy gardening work. I prefer privacy and accept more work 😄
@@rainyroad87 I'm considering a townhouse condo because I'm single and only need one bedroom and one bathroom but I don't like noise from neighbors or high monthly condo fees. Thanks for your insight!
Honestly it's fine with me I think I rather live either a townhouse or a condo, because sounds like more of a convenience to me compared to living in a individual house, because I think I rather pay the fees to keep my property maintained rather than just do it myself and going through all the headaches.
I lived in a townhouse in sault ste. Marie and that shit was ghetto the roof was crumbling half our shit would break constantly and we would have to ghetto ify it to work Hella black mold but atheist there wasn't really cockroaches like that it ruined My lungs living there for 5 years but hey 300$ a month
This answer is going to sound like a non-answer but it really is the best answer I can give. Buy what suits your needs best and is within your financial capacity. If condos are cheaper but do not fill your needs it doesn't matter that it is cheaper because you won't be happy with the purchase and want to move sooner.
I didn’t know Christian von Koenigsegg was a realtor too 😄 just playin. I’m looking at a townhouse right now, and for now would just be happy with the idea that it’s a better move than a condo.
LOL that is funny! I wish I was as cool as Christian Von Koenigsegg! Townhouses are that great middle ground between a house and a condo. They have some of the benefits of both.
Thanks for watching! You have to look at the condo fees and see if those are offset by what they include vs what you would have to pay in additional utilities and maintenance in a single family home.
Well I don’t recommend a town home unless you like getting told what to do, with “your house”. I baccked into our turn around lane last night getting ready to head out of town. 2 unit town home mind you. I was towed within 20min. No warning. $560. This is what they do, and the neighbors are always helpful in telling on you. I’ve hated it ever since I moved into the townhome. A condo probably has more rules.
@@BaldPrairieRealEstate Townhouses have personal garages while some apartment condos have parking structures and other apartment condos have open parking spaces.
That is a little bit of an apples or oranges question. Condos are often "simpler" to rent out because of their low maintenance. A single-family home potentially has a wider pool of potential renters but will require more maintenance. Both can have their benefits you just need to look at what fits your comfort level more.
Random Topic: One garage vs Two Garage. Which would give you a better return on your investment. The average household income in the area is $96,000 with an average selling price at or around $750,000. The properties difference is about $100k with 1 garage = 30 foot vs 2 = garage 36. Is it worth spending the extra if you are looking at flipping the unit in a year's time or so. Location Western Ontario
I’m new buyer in ottawa my budget is not high and I would love to get a small lot and custom build on it a tiny house what do u think is this will be good investment in the future if I sell it for example in 10 years , and is it less expensive than a townhome or condos with insurance and taxes or going threw condos or rent better than custom build
That is a really interesting question. I think you are going to have to check what is allowed under zoning laws first. A tiny house many not fit within zoning regulations.
@@BaldPrairieRealEstate some what but more so the pros and cons of parking ( living in top notch condos) I’m looking to buy one in atlanta ga and the description just says enclosed four space garage with private entrance to elevator…stuff like that…I hope this makes sense I’m trying from Alsad Air Base in 🇮🇶 iraq (deployment)
Amit why are you always so angry when ever you post on my videos. Condos and townhouses serve a segment of the market that wants less maintenance or a lower per square foot cost. Just because you may not like them doesn't mean they are not a great option for the right person.
