People who are so called educated can suffer a form of servere # "Quotes addiction syndrom" aka # Quasyn addiction. Merely quoted statements or phrases of long time dead people can not be realistic enough for a currently obviously visible life threatening and polluting eminent danger. Human basic Logic should command and motivate anyone to vigorous action whomever has seen this revealing informative documentary on the current pathetic state of lake victoria. Infested with toxic water bacterium and chemical pollution from inhygienic human activities and industrial chemical toxic waste illegal disposal as being the major sources of the rapidly dying lake victoria. The Indian plant and the Coca-Cola plant saying that they have independent intern selfdetermining water toxicity controls shows that they are obviously bribing the county and the government responsible authorities and officials in order to avoid punitive measures which are ment to make them abide with hygiene standards of nationally accepted toxic treatment levels and disposal rules and regulations at the expense of the affected local public health. Kenya with it's global geostrategic positioning has all the necessary biodiversity potential to be a food secure nation and can also be a major agricultural produce net producer and exporter in the world. But it's easy to witness from the polluted state of the source of Kenyan livelyhood and subsistence and also displays where the chronic corruption the lazy strategic thinking roots out from. Kenyans seem to have the best long distance running athletes but lack severely qualified and quality long term strategic thinking men and women who can scientifically and strategically see the quality of life of its own populations if certain irresponsible human habitat activities not stopped and industrial waste pollutants crimes are not effectively mitigated with stricter punitive laws to prevent them before they destroy the entire Kenyan environmental biodiversity. Here is one of my own quote for the quotations addicts of Kenya ; # the quality of life, lies and the decisions a Kenyan makes is due to the fact that the quality of food, water, air and ground which his or her food comes out of are highly polluted with toxic industrial chemicals waste and human excrement remains. Which it suffices to state that that polluted Kenyan mindset of decisions makers and the responsible governing authorities bodies and minds prevents them to make sound rationale decisions and set reliable values on human life protective judgements. Polluted bodies and minds produce dignity, morality and principles deficient chronically corrupt leadership who are bestowed and mandated with roles of leading over the critical and strategic national natural resources, the disenfrinchized poor, the desperately hungry and the chronically sick Kenyan general public. Kenyans exist in a permanent state of vicious cycle of ineptitude crisis. It's a vast endless sea of an intoxicated poisonous culture dominated by chronic # influential lucrative political predator class and bureaucratic corruption status quo which parasitically feeds and flourishes from the paramount ignorance of the poor masses desperation and disenfranchised jobless general public who suffer from ethnic tribal idols worshiping syndrome.

This mess will only be sorted by the citizens around Lake Victoria. They must rise up en mass against the polluting factories.

Who is to blame? The government? ... We cannot all the time blame the government... The community around should organize itself and clean up the lake for their own benefit. The responsible agencies have proven their incompetence.
@collinsouma283
@collinsouma283 4 года назад
You are very correct. but do you think its the government to blamed. Luos combined with even kikuyus can not clean lake victoria. There is a lot of tech and education needed but because the lake is from a certain region only Coffee and Tea can be a major concern.
@DavidKaranjamdavis
@DavidKaranjamdavis 4 года назад
@@collinsouma283 whilst the government needs to play its part through agencies like NEMA and KEBS, there is a role that we as a community need to play e.g by ensuring that we do not litter the environment, use banned pesticides and chemicals, release raw sewage into water bodies, etc. The lake is as important as Coffee and Tea but sadly it has been neglected.

if anyone cares for the future of lake Victoria like i do, i think any fishing activities in the lake should be stopped for at least 10 yrs for normalcy to return and then the three countries bordering the lake have a joint venture in cleaning all the waste from the lake, then after the lapse of the ten years fishing in the lake should be solely done by a joint state corporation made of the three bordering countrie and not the mess as it has been to date. otherwise it is just a matter of few years down the line and we will not have anything left in the lake but smelly and maddy waters only. kudos to the one who did this documentary, please go back there and find out how things are on the ground.
@jamessitati7396

fishermen should also be responsible for the lake by organizing time to clean up the lake shores, otherwise the government will not do everything.

@k chebet @k chebet the responsibility for the lake ecosystem lies beyond the communities around the lake. Why do you make it seem as if it's the neighbouring community only that is responsible for the mess? Most of the agricultural chemicals that is washed into the lake originates from the rift valley, mostly in violation of international treaties. Dredging is supposed to be carried out regularly yet in Kenya, dredging is a foreign word and responsibility falls on the national government just like all national parks and oil/gas resources. Don't politicize everything, otherwise we'd never move forward. Besides is that fish more poisonous than the toxins you consume daily in your sugar, meat, cereals, cooking oil, etc? Come on, give me a break.
