I was in love with a version of him I made up in my head, a version that actually respected me as a person and wasn't manipulative, and selfish. the illusion was shattered. I got over him pretty quickly because of that.

I’m often seen as a harsh person coz I’m straight to the point my partner isn’t toxic at all she’s great but she still had behaviours that needed sorting like her clinginess etc I said straight up “hey no this is bullshit if u don’t like that then leave” and she fkn respects me as a man and follows my lead, I encourage her to do the same if she catches me doing something stupid or wrong to tell me immediately, I don’t get men who let it happen.
