I feel bad how a lot of killers have to use NOED. It should be removed, togheter with Adrenaline, or at least they should be reworked both. Killers don't take NOED because they want to, it's because they need to, just to be able to do something against Adrenaline. If they don't, they completely rely on your team not being able to get to the endgame (which is why Ruin is also that stupidly popular). It's just sad that you have to always take one of these two, or even both, because you can't even build properly or combo with perks, since they have to take some specific ones. I would take as a reference how in Dark Souls 1, you only had 2 ring slots but you always had to take one (or the two) from the OP duo of Havel's ring and Favor and Protection. It makes all building planning useless.

@@kingkilla777 What didn't you undestand about the exposed status? That's literally why the perk is mandatory; because you NEED the exposed status effect to counter Adrenaline. Adrenaline (Survivor perk) is just overpowered: it heals you one health state and gives you a speed boost whenever all generators are done. Adrenaline its so powerful that there are only 2 ways to play around as the killer. One is to take NOED and a build to chase down survivors as fast as possible and then claim maybe one more kill at the end (safest PIP) OR stall out the game and try to either kill everyone or at least safely kill two people (harder to PiP, either you keep your rank with Brutal Killer or you get Merciless). Either you run it and try to kill, or don't run it in favour of stalling the game.

@@kingkilla777 And I just said that precisely you either run NOED or stall out the game. Devour Hope is a bad perk, as almost any other Hex perk. You can't afford to lose 1 perk that even if you managed to charge, could still be removed by bad totem placement. All totem hexes are useless but Ruin, unless you specifically run an almost full totem perk build, in which case you will sometimes break the game and other times just do nothing at all. With totem placement being highly map-dependant it's highly unlikely that you can get reliable results, and competitive things are always about reliable results; therefore no, they're not competitive. NOED on the other hand, activates ONLY when the game is about to end, and only then. It's still map dependant, but not as much, since totems that are not lighted up are completely forgettable in most situations, so as long as there are at least 2 remaining totems in the map, it's highly unlikely they will remove it instead of running away. And yes: Adrenaline is OP and is one of the two mandatory Survivor competitive perks, the other one being Self-Heal. It can save you from death countless times, as long as your team gets to light up all gens, which isn't highly unlikely since if you didn't, you would probably be dead anyways. It's plain unfair that once all gens light up, all your progress toward downing one or more players just evaporates in thin air.

Despite that, he kept pushing on and on, making content until he was physically not capable anymore. Sadly, a little over a year ago he passed away. He managed to be an incredible source of motivation for a lot of people despite his own immense personal struggle. A few times, other community members banded together to organize the "A Light in the Fog" event, a fundraiser charity where the money went towards getting Max treatment. BHVR would acknowledge Puppers eventually by adding a charm in-game, thus he'll always be with us in one way or another.
