Collector Con is back at Penrith for 2023, and bigger than ever with 350+ tables of toys and collectibles spread across three halls!
As always, I’m bringing you with me, giving you a little look at the show floor and sharing my pick-ups, which include vintage Jurassic Park and TMNT action figures as well as Ring Raiders and more.
What you see here is just a small sample of what's on deck at Collector Con, and the items that I was most into.

Hi scott, i have recently found myself watching your videos more and more often, i am really enjoying watching you grow your collection, after spending the better part of last year going through chemo therapy i am now on the mend and found myself getting bored with life so decided to start collecting again, at the time of posting this comment i have just ordered a bunch of transformers at a really fantastic price, i plan to do some unboxing videos then later down the track flip them to secure some more desirable transformers (my all time favourite toys) Thanks for inspiring me to get back into something i really enjoy and i hope to see you out there at one of the toy fairs soon.

I'm really glad most importantly you're on the mend and secondly that you're enjoying my videos. How did you go with the Transformers lot, have you decided to keep some for your collection or have they been flipped in the pursuit of some more desirable pieces for your collection? Dude what a episode you really knocked out of the park, some awesome pickups with the heavy metal Raph and loose ghosts for your real ghostbusters figures and great gifts at the end loving the street sharks t-shirt and I can’t wait to come to collector con in may it’s gonna be a blast 💥😎👍🏻

Thanks for this Scott. Love the Rogun cameo at 1:39! One of my favourite childhood toys! As for the rest, I love the diversity of stuff that's available. I agree that the best part of the fairs is the social angle, great to hang out and chat, and also to see the bizarre stuff that people collect.

Cheers mate, I appreciate the sub! Yeah the Ring Raiders are cool, but the kind of thing you could easily walk right past if not for the nostalgic collection. But it's a fun line to collect, lots of cool playsets and accessories!👊

Radical pickup! Really dig the sore throat ghost for your Fright Feature Egon, Ring Raiders and of course that Rock N Rollin' Raph (my most favourite turtles series that is).... Radical tour, I'm feeling nostalgia seeing all those radical stuff. I'm actually eyeing on those Karate Action Power Rangers, ToyBiz Batman, A-Team and of course some vintage TMNT figures... If I'm in that con I might grab them but kinda wish for the affordable complete loose figures, lol.... Saw that Harry and the Hendersons trading cards.. man, that's the show I haven't heard for a long time! Also love the McDonald's Changeable... Man, the 80s which brought transformable robots into genre... I have the 90s McDino Changeables which similar to the Changeables but transform to Dinosaurs.... Really love those figures!

Thanks Charlie! The rock 'n' rollin turtles are definitely a really cool set, so I was to focus on completing them along with that version of Mondo Gecko. I'm with you buddy, loose and complete is my favourite way to collect, as much as I appreciate the nostalgia of the artwork on the packaging. Yea those changeables were 88-89 in the uk I have all 4 loose, that was tough enough a find, so we’ll done for getting a sealed set, seems like a great show

Hey, we can't let a bit of a trek get in the way of a great toy hunt brother! Yeah, Collector Con always delivers. Yes indeed, so that's like USD26-28 for Thud Butt. I'm not super clued up on the Hook line, so that's good to know. Yep, I've got a bunch of loose Ring Raiders, so the ones I buy carded will stay that way. Appreciate the support dude👊

Great vid as per usual. Would you have considered painting the mummy figure? Wouldn't have taken much to look like new again. Some people would consider it sacrilege no doubt.

Thanks Dan, I appreciate that mate! I hadn't considered it, but now that you mention it, it could have made an awesome custom. I wouldn't mess with it if it was in nice new condition, but it that sort of shape it could have made a fun project!

Yeah I saw on your Insta you have some carded and loose Ring Raiders, I love them too! I have some loose squadrons, a couple of carded sets and a boxed Battle Blaster which I loved as a kid.

Hey! I plan to go to the next one, and I'm wondering if you saw any littlest pet shop? I use to collect them and I'm planning on collecting them again, if you saw any here it would be great to know! They're little animal figures from hasbro, I'm looking for the 1996 - 2012 gen 1/2 ones.

Hey mate! I'm not sure unfortunately, it's not something I was looking out for. There was definitely a ton of stuff I didn't show in the videos so I reckon there's a decent chance there was. I recommend joining the Collector Con Community Facebook group. Before the next toy fair in September, a lot of the sellers share photos of what they're going to be bringing and you can ask them if they have any. I appreciate that mate! No, I never really played with Transformers as a kid so they've never appealed to me much as a collector. I can certainly appreciate the creativity and ingenuity, not to mention the great characters, so I can see why people do though!

@C Cipher That's right, I missed the boat! I was born in 84 so my action figure memories are from 87/88 on. My older cousins had MOTU and Dino Riders so I got to play with those but not transformers unfortunately!

@C Cipher No MASK memories unfortunately... I remember the Dick Tracy movie coming out in 1990, but I was so focused on TMNT that there wasn't much room for anything else. Likewise with Marvel, I was too into wrestling and Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior were 'my' superheroes!
