Same. I got a playstation gift card last Christmas and brought this game later turning out its not the ps3 remastered version. I was so disappointed that I wasted money on that.
Because this isn’t really a remaster. It’s just an emulation. The PS3 is notoriously difficult to emulate but the PSP is one of the easiest consoles to emulate so Sony just decided to put that version up on their store because it would require the least amount of effort ti get it working.
Just downloaded it started it up and was immediately disappointed when I came to find out no story mode no toybox mode just a dumbass adventure book ps thought hey we know people loved the ps3 version and now we’re on a fine more advanced console so let’s give them the psp version that is literally half a gig nice move sony catch me on the Xbox arcade playing all my favourite classics
When I saw this on the PS plus bundle I downloaded it without even thinking about it Imagine my disappointment when it wasn’t the ps3 version That was arguably one of the best movie based games ever released
@JAMJOOMGAMER I bet the only reason they choose the PSP version was because its widescreen, although it can also be done on the PS2 version (sure it could've had graphical glitches)
I was so confused until I realized it’s a psp version, doesn’t look as good as ps3 version, but the good thing that two of my friends has ps3 and one of them has the toy story game🙏🏻
@Phoenix Gaming The PSP version of the game was also released on the PS2. But it definitely is most recognisable because of the PSP. But there is indeed a PS2 version out there that is the same as the PSP version. Hope that clears it up.
This makes me sad I was looking to see if playstation have any off my childhood games on the ps store and see toy story 3 and I thought nice I used to love the sandbox game then I go to play it and that. Is really just hard to download the flies from the ps3 version and transfer them to ps4/ps5

@Phoenix Gaming some do and some don't that's why I'm asking. Seems they are selective af on which ps1 and psp games are betting trophy support. But I found out quickly it don't but still fun
I recently bought this since I wanted to replay it again but I thought I downloaded the ps5 version but I must’ve selected the ps4 version and can’t transfer my save to the ps5 version but honestly I tried both versions and I can’t tell a difference between the 2 or if there even is any 😂
This version was ass if you played this shit on the ps2 instead of san andreas, midnight club, metal gear solid, bully, ultimate spiderman, consider, no YOU ARE AN OPP
