I recognize these models from the storyboard sketches in the deleted scenes. I thought at first it may have just been a more cartoony style instead of what they'd actually end up looking like or they were the designs they had during the boarded scene's time during development. I guess it's the latter.

1:00- Originally going to be Barbie, but Mattel refused to let them use her and when they had to change the script, the doll character was completely cut

@@TanticHero But after Toy Story was released, Mattel saw how successful it was and regretted not letting Pixar use Barbie. And when word got out that a Toy Story 2 was being made, Mattel was all like “Put Barbie in the movie!”
