This song takes me back to happy times. I'd just had a tape player fitted in my MGB-GT & my girlfriend & I would sing along to this as we cruised down country lanes. Love your version too, know what I'll be listening to this summer.
Back in 1985 I had STTR on cassette in my Capri 3.0 Ghia. At the time I was working in Holland so used to commute down the M4 to LHR with my much older colleagues. I used to have this track on repeat, not one of them 'got it'! Great memories of my mid 20s as I vegetate in early retirement.....
Can't wait for this remake, if ever there was an album that deserved it, In the court of the Crimson Queen certainly deserves it without a shadow of a doubt. Mind blowing album, now set to get the promotion and fingers crossed mega success it rightfully deserves. However it's the very real possibility that a brand new wave of fans will get to hear some wonderful songs that I for one fan, feel the world needs to hear right now. Here's to it's mega success and to a joyous year of fun and amazing concerts for yourself, Robert, Simon and the entire Toyah band!!!!
i never hear of you before seen last year i was mostly 50's 60's rock but your great sing your past stuff and new stuff also just love you now a newby to you
Make no mistake, Grace's rhythm is still and will remain one of the great pop songs of all times, and you do that song very cool BUT (!!) what Robert does to that song is simply (again and again) un-be-effing-lievable, jaw dropping, just when you came to the conclusion a song doesn't get better...there comes your husband in a blue suit and a Paula and proves you totally wrong. And btw when I first heard your version on Sunday lunch that was my first thought as well...what the F is he playing, this is...perfect. And btw 2: Thank you for Sunday lunch, you were one of the few bright spots in these dark years, please go on forever!!
