How many people have a dual forced induction setup? Especially on a teeny little 206 cubic inch engine! Mine makes 11 psi with a 2” pulley and a stock fuel pump, but until I have the Walbro pump and some 440cc injectors, I limit my passes to five seconds at full boost. The engine is just shy of 270k today, and although it uses oil, it’s got a catch canister, and I’m thinking about installing a check ball return that allows oil to pass through a filter as it drains back into the engine when vacuum drops, but I’m not sure I can deal with the possibility that it is sent back through the filter to the engine under boost, it’s probably best to empty it every week or so, because even though it’s oil collected by vapor, it’s still pretty dirty oil when you empty the canister. I’ve got mine sitting in my 1998 2WD T100 extra cab SR5, and with a 4.88 rear gear set, it’s quick in the stoplights.
Unreal! What kind of turbo? Do you have a build forum yet? I'd be very curious as to how much went into this. I love my 3.4, but it could use some more power. Awesome vid!
Pretty badass! How does it feel driving it on the road? Did you swap injectors? Change the timing? I was thinking a turbo or twin turbo setup not dual charged like yours. Sounds great!!
@@DUNEBASHING damnnnnn fr? Toyota is something else fr, my engine has 320k miles and I still beat the crap out of it 😂 where did you get the turbo kit?
@@DUNEBASHING hey man I have an '02 tundra looking to do a motor rebuild. Xat racing I think had a cam and I'm thinking of getting forged rods and piston heads. Would love to learn more about this compound boost project and if you had a custom driveshaft made as well seeing as the stock one is weak.
DarkSharkssm yeah not running a bypass valve from I see i think is happening is the boosted air going in from the Turbo is just being compressed again by the supercharger. Not sure yet going to run 2 boost gauges to see
Cool, have you noticed any fluttering coming from the supercharger when in high rpm? Only thing I could think that would go wrong is the turbo pushes more boost than the supercharger on the top end and the air chops at the blades of the supercharger. I'm thinking about doing a 3vz swap and running a set up just like this, it's pretty dope
did you keep the stock headers and and egr valve? and what are your supporting mods? I'm planning on doing the same build, I have CX racing turbo and Magnuson supercharger, I'm just trying to get some tips on what to do to prep the engine for that kind of power
What injectors are you running ? I’m trynna use some id1050 on my 5vzfe but can’t seem to get them to fit. Any tips or if you know what adapters I’ll need ?
Lancia built the Delta S4 that was twin charged to compete in the Groupe B world rally championship back in 1985 and dominated the series- I'm surprised twin charging hasn't been used on the performance car manufacturers vehicles, it's nothing new. Detroit 2 stroke diesel got improvements in power for decades using turbo before supercharger so it's a proven system why not use it? By the way, good work👍
Thats what I said. People would always argue with me that turbo alone will make more power and be more efficient. Doesn't matter if it makes more power the stock engine can only handle so much boost. I was building a torque beast
