Hello, You inspired me to do the same job :) I did it today, looks great but my break tail lights dont work no more? Just position light works and the middle break light in the trunk works. Do you have any suggestion how to fix this problem?
Honestly you can use the existing red and black wires from the lights, pop your hood, then place the top of each said wire onto the matching terminal from your car since it's the 12V that will be powering it anyways and that's one way of testing them. Do not be afraid, you can't break anything or get shocked !
All this work and you still have Incandescent brake lights? I hacked some high quality led semi truck tail lights into my taillights. The brake lights were soo bright
@@SuperMr88888888 Wrong, then you wouldn't have working license plate lights. Just splice them into existing wires for your tail lights, take the wires with bulb attachments and whatever bulbs aren't used anymore and replaced with an LED wire that specific wire to the specific function of the tail lights. Ie brake, turn, running, wire them directly into the ones where originally a bulb would be.
Did u paint the inside (the chrome part of the light) dark gray? I don’t like that chrome look on my lights. Or where can I find those already dark gray? Thanks! Those look badass btw! 🤙🏽
Don't cut it like how it shows in this video. Use a heat gun instead and patiently separate the clear lens from the housing. I did this to my headlights and fog lights to paint the housing black. Do not cut...use heat instead!
