In this video, we will show how to replace the cabin air filter in the 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 12th-generation Toyota Corolla.
How Often Should You Replace Your Cabin Air Filter?
The general rule is 15K to 30K miles. It depends on the environment you drive in, the quality of the air filter, etc. You should visually inspect the air filter at least once every year. If you have any issues with the airflow, odours, or excessive dust in the vehicle, it is definitely time to replace it.

Omg this is so easy, when I compare this with my old Renault Megane. On renaul it was a nightmare. So always filter was changed by my mechanic.

When I turn the fan or air con on, it smells bad for the first 20 seconds like the previous owner kept a dog in there. Would this be the thing to replace to remove that smell?

There is a vinegar smell that comes out of my air vents. 2021 corolla just bought in January. Would changing this possibly solve the issue?

have the same problem bought the 2021 corolla hybrid le just replaced the air cabin filter, hoping it fixes it. Fo you still have the problem? I also just noticed I don't have a tray for the filter does yours have a tray?

All similar videos state that the arrows must point "down", not "UP" as indicated in this video.

It depends on the filter. On the OEM filters the arrows will point up, on the aftermarket they normally point down. Here is the video explaining the difference: Cabin Air Filter Change. Well it is possible. I once had a mouse chew on some documents that I left inside glove box (so inside the car) in first gen Kia Ceed that was about 8 yo then and in a good shape, without corrosion or holes.

@@malan07 this was a 2022 corolla.. it is completely covered in hard plastic theres zero chance a mouse eats through hard material.. on leases they just try to charge ur ass for anything and everything..

Arrows on aftermarket cabin air filters usually indicate the air flow direction. Arrows on OEM Toyota filters point to the top side of the filter. Cabin Air Filter Airflow Direction Explained! In my 2022 Corolla maintains schedule recommended change is in 30000 miles🤔 crazy... am I missing something? Also, what is the best air filter guys?... should I just get from the dealer?

OEM filters are usually the best. But more expensive.
