i like this cross compare to hrv. For hrv from the back the shape if you looking sharply just like “telur”. Maybe it for me, but this cross looks very sharp at the front and tough at the back.

I’ve just ordered the 2.0 Hybrid 5th generation 197ps. I’m kinda worried about the consumption though.. Unfortunately the 1.8 is not yet available in our country. Thanks for the video!

took one for a test drive, got 4,5-5,0L per 100km while driving in hectic way, checking the acceleration etc. i think if you min.max it and drive very effiecient you can get ~4,0L with the 197ps one

More worth than HRV Hybrid. Front parking sensors also there including blind spot monitor, 360 degree camera, full digital meter and temperature engine meter, not like HRV Hybrid

I used to believe only on FC number, however FC number does not tell everything until i bought a Good FC with low displacement turbocharged car. Good FC Number only can be achieved with best scenario on ICE car. What matter is the condition of driving, being living in city of Traffic jam everyday; a HYBRID car with 13km/L may actually so much more fuel saving than ICE car that rate even 20km/L. The condition is the point whereby ICE car in urban area used alot energy & ends up 10km/L. However in Highway it will can easily achieve 18km/L, but in FULL TANK you might only running 13Km/L. Unlike HYBRID. in traffic jam it does not use Fuel at all & in highway if only use 13Km/L. Overall in total KM of FULL TANK will be higher

Can you share if you encounter loud engine roar when you step on the accelerator when the meter goes from ECO to POWER zone. The Toyota team said it is a normal *characteristic* of a hybrid engine. Same comment I have from another friend having the same model.

Mazda 2 sedan at home can get average 5.5l/100km highway loaded with 3 person. 8.5l/100km on mix. This car should get better economy no? My theory is it should get better economy in city or mix driving than highway driving.

Exactly what I was thinking. 7.8L/100km on the highway is more than what a 3.0TDI consumes. I get 4.8 - 5L/100km in my 2.0 E-class diesel at 120km/h. The ONLY way these cars can be more efficient is if you drive them only in town.

It's the same engine as the Prius. The Prius however, having much better aerodynamics. At low speed, should match, at high speed, will drink more. City, if you drive eco, 3.5-4.5L. on roads (50-60 mph), 5.0-5.5L. highway (70mph), 6.0-6.5L, motorway (80mph), 8.0-8.5L. I'm on 4.4-4.6L for town and country, on a Corolla 2.0L Touring. City, more like 3.8L. these engines don't do so well past 50 mph, but it's not that bad. Diesels are much more efficient at the that stage. Flat roads, and smooth driving (minimum breaking, slow acceleration), you can gain 20%, but some people find it boring driving like that, especially when you have 200bhp available.

Toyota's Hybrid Synergy system (THS) is designed such that normal average driver could achieve 5.5L/100km, and could easily get 4L/100km when driven properly using techniques such as Pulse & Glide. I've tried Pulse & Glide for my commute to Sepang weekly in Cross Hybrid, and I could confidently say 24km/L (4.05L/100km) is totally possible. It's just that you have to change your driving habit as compared to driving a turbocharged car. *from Cheras to Sepang

It hasn't been released in Canada yet but Toyota is estimating 6.4L/100kms. Very odd...I was hoping this would get better mileage than the RAV4 Hybrid.
